The only people I have sympathy for in this story are Harry, Rose and Hugo. Hermione is usually one of my favorite characters, both in canon and in fanfics, which makes it difficult for me to enjoy fics in which she's deliberately hurtful to Harry. The Ron and Hermione in this fic can write off what they did to him as hormones and teenage stupidity all they want, but that excuse only covers Hermione's infidelity and Ron's initial betrayal (initial betrayal in this instance anyway). That excuse was no longer valid when they made the decision to deliberately hide Rose from Harry when they knew she was his daughter.

The sad thing is it's something that I would expect Ron to be all for, but I would have thought that Hermione would have cared too much about Harry or at least known enough about Harry's upbringing outside of Hogwarts to know that cheating on him and then hiding the only family he would have wanted to know about from him for 16 years wasn't going to turn out well for anyone. There are certain ways that Hermione can be OOC in a fic that I can be totally fine with or even enjoy. Sadly, this is not one of those ways. She's too OOC for me in this fic to enjoy it.

The only thing that would make this better, is if it were longer.

Harry has a reason to be more than upset with Hermione and Ron. She should have broken up with him first. No excuses.

fuck harsh, if anything you were too easy on the prick. on both of them. Seriously. Ron is the "idiot friend" fair to have around for a drink and maybe one or two fights, but a guy that ends up with so few redeeming qualities you expect him to beat his girlfriends because its "normal" and he has no emotional control.

not a good person, but not a "bad" person, just a person, and one not really worth hanging around later on. the kind of guy who gets drunk and fucks with people and has actual good friends that cover for him and try to pay checks his mouth cant cash.

i've grown up with people like that and saw how they were developing. i'm lonely as shit but i dont regret cutting those people out of my life before they got me in trouble i had nothing to do with. That's the kind of person Ron is.

Only the biggest of reality checks stops that kind of behavior. and it has to be the continuous poison kind. the kind that never stops being "real" can never be adjusted to. like losing connection with everyone.

Ron got off too easy, i think. Hermione too. And Harry got shit on like always.

Well at least when shit finally crumbles, Rose will probably just drag Hugo and live with Harry.

I think the way Ron was written in the books makes him nothing more then a trash can. Not even trying to be mean I really think he’s basically useless. I kinda didn’t like the end but in the flip side I also can’t imagine how you do end this so I’ll tske it.

I hated it, but I'm a sucker for Harmony.

Honestly? I think you went too easy on them. I've seen stories in a similar vein where Ron and Hermione usually end up divorced, in prison or dead.

Great story and great ending but... I don't know why but it seems there's still more. Part of me feels that it's missing the regretful fate of Ron and Hermione but a major part of me feels that Harry didn't get a closure. Not a complete one, anyway. He can't reclaim what he's lost but it's as if he (and in a way you, the author) has made it seem he can't have a happy future either. So, if there is ever a sequel, it would be great if Harry had a new beginning. Well, and a regretful Hermione wouldn't be bad either (and this is my saying as a person whose OTP is H/Hr).

Story was perfect on Ron. Harsh on Harry but dead on for Ron
