The nickname that Infernus has for Ash is just perfect for a Pokemon of his personality. Of course he would be more likely to view Ash as that rather than a Trainer, even if I never actually realised that until now.

Infernus has some of my favorite fights in the story and his personality definitely places a lot of phasis on his combat obsessed aspects. The way his perspective was portrayed here really does make perfect sense. I think the idea of Ash having a Magmortar is really creative and very fitting with how the story is presented.

Can't believe how long travelers been going I started following around the time of the ss Anne when I was in my early teens.

I love love love every time you do a POV from one of the team members. I love seeing how different they think, and how no matter what they all hold a devotion to Ash.

I'd love to see like...Sneasel POV. How does a dark type, who sees his team as pack, think?

It was super inciteful and a little intimidating to finally know what goes on in Infernus' head, also more of how Pokemon think versus to humans. It's plain to see how utterly dangerous and destructive he could be if he had an evil trainer, but it sounds like Ash was able to create a conscience within him. Also that he holds Ash and their bond in the highest regard including the connections they share that no one else can claim, which I found oddly sweet.
I also have to give respect where it's due to Karen's Houndoom. Infernus is basically the instant win button, I mean considering his movepool and sheer power it's easy to see why he's a cut above the rest of Ash's team besides maybe Torrent in sheer damage, but Houndoom managed to beat him at his own game. I remember how horrific that fight was for both of them and he still managed to claw out a win and stay on the battlefield (albeit badly injured). I've always liked Houndoom and their lore.
As for me... I've gotta say I'm interested in seeing a lot of the team next. I wanna see how much of Nidoking's brain is occupied by Ash's well-being. What runs through Bruiser's thoughts. How Oz goes about her life. What little Aron thinks about his big family. Even Seeker and how she feels about the life she leads traveling with these powerhouses. I wanna see them all, but if I had to choose first... it'd have to be everyone's favorite second in command, Nidoking.

This was amazing. I loved seeing in Infernus' head and I loved seeing his bond with Ash from his perspective. It felt as if Infernus saw Ash not only as a fellow conqueror but as a brother.

Excellent chapter that provides an intriguing glimpse into Infernus' mindset. We already knew that he's basically the definition of a savage, but this chapter really highlights the lengths he'll go to in order to crush any opposition he faces.
It's not explicit, but I think this chapter conveys very well the fact that there is literally not a single person in the world that Infernus thinks is Ash's equal. There were some mentions of the rest of the team, but nothing that really told us what Infernus thinks about them. It'd be interesting to know where they stand. Are they colleagues, reluctant roommates, or does he actually care about them (but would never admit it)?

I hope we get to see more from other team members.

That was terrifying.
Not the brutal battle, Infernus’ battle lust, or wanting to rip Houndoom to pieces. Those are expected.
I mean that he actually cares about the connection he has with Ash.
Them both having taken a bit of Fire into themselves and survived shows that each of them have the strength to fight what others would be immediately wiped away by.
I never really considered that Infernus would take meaning from the fact they’ve both died and come back other than it being weakness. But here he sees it as something they shared that the others cannot.

Also wanted to say that having most of this chapter take place during the fight was genius.
