Nice little one-shot. It is an interesting take on this Wickham and Amanda, and you could see it happening. After all, he's the last guy holding onto her life raft. I like it.

So I just recently watched the mini-series, with no prior knowledge/exposure to Jane Austen besides what is commonly known, and I fell in love. Not just in love with the Jane Austen world but with the character portrayals and developments of this series, one of them being the redemption of Wickham. Such a refreshing change for that character. And he certainly was charming, mischievous, quick-witted and kind-hearted (which he tries so hard to hide), all of which you've managed to capture perfectly.
Honestly, Amanda and Wickham struck me as kindred souls. A small part of me was kind of dissapointed that she didn't end up with Wickham (when Darcy rejected her) or that he wasn't made aware of her origins. Although that part of me is now greatly satisfied with your creations and really hope you write more stories of these two.
