Ah, how scary night terrors are. I think that may be one reason children resist bedtime. So many nightmares when you are a child, instead of delightful dreams filled with rainbows and unicorns. Daddy Jethro handled each child very sensitively, and calmed them. I'm just sorry he has to get injured before we can visit with Jethro and his little Gibblets. Nice story.

My assessment of this and all your other 'Here and Now' universe fan fictions is this... NCIS Lead Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs should be sedated way more often so we all can indulge in these amazing stories, because every one of them are so delightful and entertaining! Gibblets, Ghoulies and Ghosties is certainly no exception. Oh the struggles our favorite Marine Dad goes through with his four, whether it be in his dreams or in the present. I loved how Gibbs took the time to analyze the situation each child presented and searched for a way to best help alleviate their fears. He understood that, while to him, the fears were ridiculous, but to his children they were the worst terror they had faced to date. I love how you write Gibbs as a father to his kids, them as little guys and them as grown-ups. I know on the show Gibbs can be gruff at times, but you only need to look at his face to see his true feelings for his team/family. He is every inch the same father as you write him. Thank you for that :-)

Gibbs wanting protection from his 'kids' made me laugh. If they only knew what he dreams when under painkillers, hee hee.
