Marta at the Abbey reminds me of what I think Jack was like in the Refuge!

After days of denial I have finally come to terms with this story being over. This story has inspired me to try, key word try, to write my own multi chapter story. Thank you for the amazing story you have put out.

Wonderful job! I wish I had that much luck with my epilogue ;) I loved seeing grown up Trout (I mean Eliot) and the idea that Marta ended up married to someone who may or may not have lassoed her - the best! Terrific story, absolutely one to put in a collection to re-read again and again!

Ahhhhh. I feel all warm and content and whole after reading that happy ending. I ADORE Clarice, the faCT that they named her Clarice and the fact that she's a cute little Spot minion. I also adore Fletch, his boys, and him agreeing with Teddy's name. Omgosh my heart. It can't take all the goodness of this. This was well worth the wait and I can't even be sad it's over bc now I have Trout's story to look forward to!

I remember when you said this story wouldn't turn into a long novel... Boy were you wrong! I can't believe the next chapter brings this story to a close. As for the chapter Marta finally going out west gave me feels. Darcy coming with is a nice twist both her and Spot were abused by Mick and they both need to get away. And finally Marta reading Scat's letters was truly heartbreaking, every time I read this I just want a happy ending for everyone... But what you have makes sense in a logical way.

I love this. I love Trout giving his seat up for Darcy. I love hearing Scat's voice in his letters. I love Marta finally running out west with Spot. And I love you and this story. And I'm not ready for it to be over!
Can't wait for the epilogue!

Wow. I am just heartbroken - for Marta, for Spot, for Trout. I knew it was going to be rough but my goodness - you do a wonderful job of capturing each character's inner turmoil. And that ending! Can't believe it could be the end - what a great story that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading every bit of :) Thank you for writing and sharing with us!

Oh my god! This is so good, I have the same feeling of excitement I had when reading the first chapter. Darcy as Rudy's daughter, brilliant! Burning the building is an amazing idea.

Darcy and Spot 5evah! I like how you got to get Trout to remember to tell Marta about Scat's letters. And Darcy trying to heal and warm Spot and also fix his and Trout's relationship was amazing! Loved this chapter and can't wait for the epilogue, although I don't want it to end :(

I GAVE YOU THE IDEA?! I figured it was Clarice. Haha. I'm pretty sure it was planted it my head by her cuz she was the one saying to burn Mick down. Haha. This is such a fantastic chapter I don't even know what to do with myself. Why are all our stories ending? I don't like it! (And why do I feel like you would be Marta and I'd totally be Clarice and we could just like run our own gang?)

Clarice, you devious, majestic, sunflower. I mourn you and hope somewhere like Scat, you're living in another timeline. Haha. Great chapter no matter how short! So that's how Marta escapes at least from the ropes! I look forward to reading how she beats the shit out of Mick and they burn and desecrate his body!

Goodness! I am reading these chapters through my fingers - I'm such a wreck over this whole plan and initiation and yikes! But it's sooooo good and so well-written! I'm going to have to steal Spot's word 'revisionating' and use it at some point :) Great job!

Only 4 more chapters! I can't believe this story is coming so close to an end.
