I left the movie DESPERATE for some connection between Erik and Peter. Thank you so much for writing this. It's like the relationship is calling out to Erik without him knowing why.

Oh Erik. I love this story! It keeps the idea that it was Charles's ideals that woke him up while bringing in his connection to PEter. LOVE

Thank you so much for this. My Cherik side still think that Erik just did something against Apocalypse when he find out the Charles was in danger, but your version is so much better. I loved that Erik was somehow capable of identify something different about Peter... something innate and unconditional… just the way parental love is supposed to be. And Erik is not stupid… I’m sure he started thinking after the "My mom once knew a guy who could do that"

Erik being Peter’s father is a BIG deal, but someone evil decided I should not have my father/son scene with Michael Fassbender and Evan Peters and they just let it out of the movie…. As if it was not important. Life is not fair… that why fanfics are so important.
