Hey! I just wanted to say that I really liked your story! Like, you clearly have tallent to write combat scenes and I simply LOVED Sam's dialogues with Dani (I just love that man, he's so fucking charming and hillarious, that the moment I finished the game I was like "okay, now then, FANFICTIONS HERE I COME")
Buuuut, well, at first I was like " wtf how come this piece of art don't have more reviews?" but then as I kept going I think I got the problem. You see, I think that the way Dani acted simply did not match her background. You'd think a seasoned thief like her, whose family has been in this business for years, would be more prepared to handle certain situations, but she, well, after the first and second chapter, she just...cried a lot? Got desperated? Rarely did something that was expected of her as a pro ? I mean, ugh, I'm not trying to be mean okay? It's just that the first chapters got me pumped for a badass OC, not a crybaby ( please, i do understand that anyone would do that in her situation, but her background made me think otherwise)
Also, as someone who has lost a child and has only known the unpleasant side of a relationship (Rafe is a cold bastard okay?) you'd think she would be more hesitant to jump in the bed with someone who's growing on her, but no, there wasn't any angst on her part, so the part wich everyone has been waiting for (Sam and Dani kissing and jumping the bed) just...left much to be desired. I actually stoped reading there, 'cause...like, ugh Idk it just felt too rushed for me ( the scene with Dani and Rafe going at with was much more detailed and slow)

Your story IS good, just not THAT good. I think its enough to keep new readers satisfied for a while, but...well

Oh, man! This chapter made me tear up! I knew Rafe was gonna die, but I wasn't expecting it to be so sad, I was also expecting him to come back for a moment to save Dani before finally dying too. great twist having Nadine save her! Nate and Sam better have damn good reasons for not saving her too!

This chapter was great! Glad you didn't give up on this story, I really thought you had. I'm really sad that there's only a couple chapters left! I can't wait for the next update, please don't take too long!

I love your story. It seems like the flashback story is more interesting than the canon story to me though lol. I hope you pursue more of it (OC and Rafes relationship background I mean) when you finish the canon story.
