Can I just say, thank you? I remember reading this two years ago, loving it, falling a little out of One Piece, then falling straight back in, and finding this masterpiece again. Seriously thank you for all the love you put into each chapter, it's truly amazing. Like seriously, I remember some of these chapters distinctly from 2 years ago, that's how much of a impact these have had on my mind despite having not read the manga in forever. Thank you so so so so much for 50 chapters of pure beautiful writing and endless dedication. I'm sure I'll come back to these chapters a few years later to relive these beautifully crafted stories again.

This fandom is actually the only one I have seen where none of the main characters have been written as corrupt by fanfic authors.
What I mean is, in every other fandom, there are more than a few fics where the main protag betrays or is betrayed by his or her friends and/or family. Even when there is literally no chance of that happening, or no reason for that to happen, aside from wanting to twist a good show into something more...ah, let's go with horrific.
A good example would be Pokemon. There are so many fics where Ash is betrayed by his friends and/or pokemon, then goes on to get revenge years later with the support of his "true" friends, with or without a completely brand new pokemon team. How he could be betrayed is a mystery to me. I mean, what, did his friends secretly give steroids to his pokemon before a league match and he was disqualified? Why would that even happen? What sense would that make? And the friends are usually ones that were only in the anime for a few episodes, or are part of the newer seasons like X&Y or Sun & Moon. It doesn't make any sense!
But One Piece! This fandom is the only one where Luffy or another part of the crew have never betrayed or been betrayed by anyone else on the crew. There bond is so pure and strong that there is literally no way to conceivably have them betray one another, because the show is literally all about the crew's bond and how they trust each other before anyone else.
And I am just so HAPPY about how I have never, not once, found a fic where they betray each other. Yes, there are fics where they may do something horrendous, but the bond stays strong and that makes me so goddamn happy! Their band is so pure and if I find out that it has been corrupted by betrayal one of these days, I am actually going to cry.

I was just coming back to reread this story and checked the update date on a whim. I’m glad I did! Great chapter, I always love how you portray the Strawhats.

Whenever Im on thw verge of wanting to write a fanfic, I read these stories with so much characterization they seem alive and...I stop. Love this to bits.

I’ve not even been active on this site for a long time, and mostly I do not remember a lot of stuff I have read halfway, nor do I check out half the update notifications emails I get from this site. But I just want to say that this fic had left a lovely enough impression on me that when I got the mail, I thought: “ah, this fic!” and I went to read it. :D

Don’t worry about the updates, of course, as the nature of the fic is a collection of shorts. Either way, one piece is so much an ongoing part of my life, as I believe it probably is for you as well, that it feels fitting to have an update of this randomly now and then as I follow the series. Sort of a side story, and a happy occasional thing :D I’m glad this means you’re still following and loving the series though! That makes me happier than any update. I’m not sure if this comment is even relevant anymore, but just, there’s nothing better then when authors are continuing to love the series and enjoy writing as they feel fit to.
