the plot is good, no doubt about that. the only thing lacking is your writingportrayal of characters. you made hermione so unbelievably obstinatestupid that it's painful, and she was supposed to be the smartest witch of her age. Berty's character portrayal is OK though. I wanna like this story, belive me, it has the potential to be one of the best Hermione/Barty C Jr story ever, but the characterization is plain wrongI can't attach myself with the character. In My mind constantly reminds me of "that's not Hermione, that's plain wrong!" Like when Hermione asked Winky to help her from Barty's tortureactually was OK with Winky taking her place to recive punishment in her stead? She was the Champion of House Elves right in school, I find it totally absurd she would do something like that. pls stay a bit more truthful to the canon.

It's been so long since I read this story and I absolutely love it. There are not many Barty/Hermione fics out there but your is darkly enthralling. I'm looking very much forward to see Hermione's pregnancy progressing as her relationship with Barty. Good job and I'll wait eagerly for the next update!

The words are clinical, the characters are flat, the plot is great, and I remember the rooms more than the characters. Not because you described them well, but because that was the only time in your writing I wasn't forcing myself through.

It was fine, I enjoyed it, honestly, but the moment I read "it was very scary" is the moment you lost me, man.

There's no personalization, there's no "showing" what's happening... I genuinely tried, because I enjoyed the plot so far, but... I just can't. I'm sorry.

It's an interesting idea, but it's not exactly written like the novel length book it is. It's written like a kid's story, which isn't BAD, per se, but isn't exactly what a fanfiction on Harry Potter should be, especially when talking about torture and kidnapping.

I hope to see a revised edition of this one day, where aristocratic Malfoy and insane Crouch talk differently, and where "it was very scary" has no place in the story.

I think you got Malfoy's personality great, too, tho. Except his actions and words kinda didn't match well.
