olivebrb chapter 22 . 5/21 I hope this will be updated eventually. Your take on Lara Croft is absolutely fantastic in its characterization and pacing. I love how easily I can believe that Croft is an actual person, with her very much real and very much present highs and lows. You've turned her into one of the most genuinely interesting and compelling characters I've ever read in a story, and everytime I reread one of your stories I know I'm in for a good time. However, I wish you had dived deeper into Diana's thinking; given how the middle chunk of the story took its time with world building and establishing character, I wish you could have made Diana's character just a bit more nuanced and fleshed out. That which makes Lara such a compelling character to read about, with conflicted thought processes and snark, are sorely missed in Diana's character. Beyond a desire to leave the island and generally trying to do the "right" thing, she isn't really fleshed out and never seems to take a life beyond serving as another perspective on the plot. While I understand that spending more time with Diana might have hurt the pacing of the story, especially in those slower moments, she ultimately isn't a particularly compelling character, which is a shame given how well you've made me love (and hate!) some of your previous characters, Natla being an especially notable example. But regardless, you should be tremendously proud of your skill as a writer, and I'll be the first to read any new updates. |
Guest chapter 22 . 4/6 please update soon |
Guest chapter 22 . 3/17 I love |
N7 Greek-Valkyrie chapter 22 . 1/21 Well this is different, and wholly appreciated. I didn't know I needed this pair anymore than I needed a Fem! Harry Potter x Wonder Woman. Both are wonderful works of art. |
N7 Greek-Valkyrie chapter 21 . 1/21 Lara "Oh what the hell. Death by snu snu it is." I died reading that just lol. |
N7 Greek-Valkyrie chapter 13 . 1/21 Such a bitch Hippolyta. |
Guest chapter 22 . 11/3/2019 looking forward to the next chapter |
Daungli chapter 1 . 10/6/2019 Okay well. This is absolutely stunning. Impeccable writing and tone setting the scene. I love it |
Person of no interest chapter 22 . 8/17/2019 I love that Lara just knew that Diana would follow and eavesdrop, it was nice of her to try and get some answers for Diana even if it was to no avail. Hippolyta can be frustratingly cryptic at times lol. I do find myself hoping that Diana gets to leave with Lara, the adventures would be amazing and I imagine the Fates appeared for a reason beyond an evening stroll. They likely knew Diana would ask about Lara |
Niklami chapter 22 . 8/5/2019 It's amazing, i can't wait for the next one |
WillItWork chapter 22 . 7/29/2019 This is a great fusion, of a damaged but hopeful reboot!Lara, and a yearning yet hopeful godmoded Diana. I hope for good things from both of them, but there will also be an enormous amount of pain, as well. Overall, the descriptions, making sense of the game mechanics and comic book oddities work very well. It helps that both have similar characters, however, I am very interested in seeing what will happen to Myrene. I actually thought this would be the last chapter, but looks like you've got some more left to tell. Thanks for sharing! |
Guest chapter 22 . 7/28/2019 Bittersweet is right! Diana could've been asking about Sam's future to Crystal Dynamics and she'd have received the same cryptic, punting-the-football response. Loved Lara's anticipation that Diana would eavesdrop - those two are on the same wavelength lol. Their introspective exchanges are so lovely, there could be a fic composed entirely of same and I'd gladly read it all :) I wonder if we'll get an epilogue of Diana visiting Lara at the manor? Hmmm... |
Mastermind4892 chapter 22 . 7/27/2019 Absolutely wonderful! A very bittersweet farewell between two of the most remarkable people alive. Well done. |
TrashKan chapter 1 . 3/19/2019 Death by Snu Snu? Lara’s a Futurama fan? Lol |
Person of no interest chapter 21 . 2/15/2019 Correct me if im wrong but when Lara was in the prison talking to Faro was that the call of Ares that she felt? Given all the events that have happened in her life up till this point it would make sense. The god of War would recognize a kindred spirit and call out to it. I believe that Lara is strong enough not to answer. The scene you set for the funeral ceremony is so beautiful and descriptive, I felt like I was there. The game the Amazon's were playing with the lasso, is that their version of spin the bottle? I also really liked the bit with Mala and I'm so glad Lara managed to hold in that laugh XD |
