| The Observer 2.O chapter 11 . 6/9/2018 Jeez... Even good crossover stories like this, which have a decent premise, great punctuation and grammar, a solid concept and good narrative get infected... The Dumbledore bashing has pretty much spread like a virus through the fan-fiction community for years now. And now, in modern stories, it continues to pulsate and fester, latching onto many Harry Potter writers' subconscious like a beautiful parasite. I mean... the same stuff always seems to be repeated. The prophecy, Dumbledore's power is 'threatened', it's for the the 'greater good' and other nonsense that is so uncharacteristic that it is basically the abridged Dumbledore that people seem to think IS Dumbledore. It's so easy to poke fun at, undermine and insult the 'wise man' of the story. That's because the HP writers amongst the community keep taking the easy route out. They don't follow in the footsteps of J.K Rowling or the man who wrote 'Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality'. Nope. Dumbledore is a manipulative codger who should be forever hated by readers and writers because... reasons. Because everyone else is doing it so that makes it ok... God, it just makes me cringe.
