He is not in love with her. If he were, he'd do anything to stay by her side. She should throw

I like the possibilities of this.. What happened to her, what becomes of them, what happens when they see each other again.. I kind of want to hate him for being a jerk and just giving up on her because she can't walk, and I still do, but I do get that they're young and sometimes you do stupid things. His comment was still harsh though, especially after she spills her heart saying she loves him and wants to marry him. :(
