Rereading this story. I remembered this first chapter as I was reading it, but I don’t remember much else besides her injury which I think made her infertile?

Treading for the nth time; and I think this is still one of my favorite chapters. I love the scene with her and Oin at the end, and the grace in acknowledging a new heritage to learn but also investing in the relationship. It’s a truly tender moment and well written. I also adore her name from him.

Please tell me you are going to finish this story! I'm wondering if the hobbits in the Shire are gonna get punished somehow.
