I usually don't like this kind of story, but it's so well written that I couldn't stop reading.
The discomfort felt in the scenes is so striking that it becomes palpable.
I'm curious to see how it all ends.
The only downside that I would highlight is that it says in the original work that the Volturi are the guardians of the arts, and as such, I imagine them badly indulge in rape or others similar practices. However, I find that seeing them from this angle is original and adds body to the dark atmosphere of the story. Continue like this, it's great.

Your story is breath of fresh air. I wouldn't describe myself as a Twilight fan, and most stories focus on sickly sweet romance and very little on the vampire cultures. I love what you did with your oc and that she isn't a Bella clone.

While I love that Demi doesn't fall for Marcus within a few chapters or take any shit from the Volturi; She comes across as dense for rebelling at the wrong time and being slow on the uptake.
I like how the Volturi members show their age and culture in their behaviors and that time has made them into callous monsters.

Now, generally, this kind of story isn't my cup of tea. Yet, I couldn't seem to stop reading. It is written very well. I must applaud you for staying true to "character" about the newborn phase. As much as I would have liked to see Demi being a powerful badass with super good control right off the bat, the fact that she isn't/doesn't is kind of growing on me. I do hope you update soon. I would like to know if she gives into Stockholm or not.

I just wanted to say that I’ve been silently checking up on your amazing story for a long time now. Imagine my surprise when I saw you’d updated! I adore Demi, reading her struggles and her thoughts and conflicts make her feel like such a real, three-dimensional human. She is relatable and admirable for how you write her and I’m rooting for her! Whether she decides to torch Volterra and dance on the ashes or somehow find peace with Marcus (unlikely, I’d say torch him for all that he’s done).

I’m eagerly waiting for the next instalments: I can’t wait to see where you take this. Does she find the Cullens? Leave on her own? What facets does her gift have that Demi doesn’t know of yet? I hope you find the time to spare us some nuggets of this story whenever you can, no hurry though :)
