I have read the story on Amazon and found it an original variation of P&P. The main elements are still there, but Darcy parents are alive and his mother his scheming to find him a bride...
I highly recommend this story. Nicely written.

This is a lovely story - I very much enjoy your sketch of Darcy and Elizabeth as young combatants/lovers.

In trying waay too hard for cleverness in your dialogues, you end up sacrificing nearly all clarity. The E/D apology exchange was, again, more confusing than it need to have been. K.I.S.S.

The exchange between Elizabeth and William was confusing. Is it clear to Elizabeth that he is her intended blind date? Or is she simply spouting off to hosts she's never really met before her contempt of the untenable situation her mother orchestrated on her behalf with a yet-to-be-seen "gentleman" rake? If the former, then damn! is she rude. And if the latter, damn! is she ill-mannered and petulant.

This was amazing! So easy to read and it pulled me in right away. I couldn't put it down! This version of events is so refreshing, and I love how Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship evolved. It's so nice to have Lady Anne and Old Mr Darcy in the storyline as well. Love love love
