Gosh. This has been incredible, incredible. I have not traipsed around the fandom in so long but what a pleasure to find this. Devoured In Cavern's Shade over at A03 over the last few days, and this today. You deserve a much longer review, which I will write. Everything about this series, the depth, the characterisation, the pace, the sadness, the fury, the grit, your Celeborn, your Galadriel, are just mind-blowing.

I'm sorry that real life, and I hope things are better. If you ever choose to continue this, I will be waiting.

I’ve read ICS twice now, and after the first time I was a little disheartened to see that the sequel had not been updated for over 2 years after only 7 chapters. So I decided to spare myself the pain of reading on and having everything end unresolved.
However, now after my second read, it wasn’t enough for me just to read ICS. I just had to see what the sequel was like! And man, is it good. It’s great to see a relationship that’s so balanced (and, even better, so unbalanced). They fight, they hurt, and they love, and it’s all in-character and done in such a beautiful and believable way. I can feel the characters living and breathing as I read and that’s very rare indeed.

It seems a great injustice to leave this story so unfinished (especially having heard snippets of your plans for the future in your previous author’s notes), although knowing that there was no more to be read after chapter 7, I read this chapter as a sort of ending to your series.

If there ever is a day when I get an email telling me you have updated, believe me when I say I will scream for joy. One doesn’t often come across a story like yours.

Until then, I’ll probably be back here to reread this masterpiece until I know it by heart.

This is a beautiful story and I hope you find a way to finish it. I’ve read your previous story and was beyond ecstatic to find a sequel. You really have a talent for writing, especially with these characters. Nothing I have previously read even comes close to doing this couple (particularly Celeborn’s part in the relationship) the justice they deserve, yet you weave a tale that does just that. I will hope against all odds for an update and wish you the very best.

I love Galadriel and Idril conversation. She had to miss lack of friendship with women after so many years in the forest. Gilgalad taking after Finrod looks great. Can't wait for reborn Finrod in Valinor.

I really enjoyed you added Amdir and Amroth again.

I am a bit of surprised by Arafinwe and his wife's relationship. Never expected that she will be angry and abandon him. I am a bit surprised by his portrayal as a scholar and not a warrior king. Think that Valar wouldn't choose him if he didn't posses necessary skills. I will be looking forward to his first meeting with Celeborn. Thank you!

Another character wonder if he is really harmless as he looks.

I almost expected that their marriage will be more peaceful than courting but obviously I was surprised once again. Great beginning thank you for sharing!

I read this again and have to say things that i didn't in my last review.

And here I am reminded that Celeborn is a dangerous and dark elf but it doesnt matter. To be honest, i disliked reading such an explicit description of sex because i always find that there are other ways to depict it like how you wrote their marriage back in In Cavern's Shade (that was beautifully done), but still I understand, why this particular scene had to be written that way. Celeborn said they were to build something new but for me it was more of portraying the fact that his darkness was accepted by both of them.

Sure, if i dislike it so much I could skip such scenes but I might miss something vital, like how they're feeling in that moment, was a child conceived, an argument made or something. For instance, their sex scene in chapter 2 hinted that they may have conceived a baby.

I look forward to the two of them going to Balar and kicking ass.

In your last update you said your mother might pass away last December. If she has, my condolences to you and your family.

I hope that her passing was or will be painless. I wish your writing to help you at this time, be it with this story or another.

My favorite interaction between galadriel and celeborn is not when theyre cuddly and being all sweet or making love (altho i love those parts too) but my favorite, the one i love reading the most about is when they rule and work together side by side just like when they were deciding the terms of the treaty with maeglor back in In Cavern's Shade. So, I'm really looking forward to the both of them leading the scattered and broken sindar. I'm apprehensive about them encountering Oropher and Thranduil again because I love Oropher and Thranduil and I dont want my babies fighting. Plus, the loss of Venessiel still hurts for me and for them no doubt.

"The light seared through her mind, turning it white, and she suddenly felt a very strange but pleasant sensation as of a soul drawing upon her own, almost the way that Celeborn's did and yet different. There was a surge of motion in her belly and then…"

Ok. Im not sure if this is a vision orrrr she's pregnant. I badly want them to have a baby. But it wouldn't be planned and in my head I always saw them as planning for a baby instead of it happening by accident like galathil and inwen.

And I'm not sure if this baby she's seeing or feeling is celebrian or the son melian foresaw. If it's the latter I'm so fearful for them because then it'll hurt to lose the baby.

I cant wait for galadriel and celeborn to reunite with amdir and amroth in the future.
