Wait... only one more chapter? Dang. I've been following this story for almost four years now. You've done a real good job with this one! I'm really looking forward to the last part of the story. :)

I haven’t reviewed in FOREVER and I’m so so sorry about that. So much went down in this chapter. I’m starting to feel like Tara is the villain in this whole story. Like she can’t catch a break. I’m really rooting for her and Dwayne and hope they are somehow soulmates, but it’s starting to look really dim to me. Especially if cat has a say in it. I don’t know what it is about Cat but she’s really starting to get on my nerves. Everything is about her and her feelings. If she’s not happy, no one is. I love reading about Dwayne, but damn cat is making it hard. She’s a vampire but I feel like she’s playing the victim. Like poor her. She’s like a Mary Sue in a way. I feel like the pack is never going to accept Tara into the pack because of all the drama surrounding Cat, Paul, Tara and Dwayne. Damn will practically bend over backwards for cat because that’s his brothers mate and she’s a sister to Dwayne, but it feels like Dwayne won’t get his happy ending with Tara. I feel this story is going to go from romance to tragedy. Like Dwayne has to choose between the woman he loves and his pack. I’m sorry if this is heavy, it’s just the way I’m personally interpreting the characters and storyline. I really can’t wait to read more. Til next time.

"everyone is somewhat in the wrong" but Cat isnt. she never is. you have made her the Mary Sue of this story and it's so infuriating.
I wanted to read a story about Dwayne and Tara and instead I've got almost every chapter telling me about how everyone loves Cat and she can do nothing wrong but Tara is some big screw up.
I am honestly hating how Cat is portrayed in this story.
I've said it before and I gave this another chance but I'm giving up. Cat is such a weak character, the only thing going for her is how everyone adores and loves and dotes over her and she can control the group to however she wants. its downright boring.

Ah yeah! I practically fell out of my bed when I saw the update!

Woah... That was intense! I should have guessed it was Cat who figured it out first. Though to be fair, Tara really should have watched her alcohol intake. I mean, sure down a shot or two, but when you know that you "chatter shit" and you're already pissed AND you're in a cave full of vampires, don't get drunk! Tara really dropped the ball on that one. It's like she wanted to piss off everyone in the room.

I gotta hand it to David though. He really knows how to control his reactions and think things through. I would wonder if he's known the truth for a while, but his immediate concern was over his family and a survival plan. I wonder who's going to be the one to try to kill Tara. They'd be like, "Lets vote on if Dwayne should kill Tara." And David pops in with that democracy line. Ha!
Honestly though if I were one of the Lost Boys, I would just kill those Frog brothers. Wacko or not, they still know the secret. Or... maybe this is how they move on from Santa Carla?
If this ends with Tara being a vampire, I don't see them all living happily together. I wonder if Tara is more fascinated with being a vampire or loving Dwayne? Would she steal his blood and skip town if she could? If she could just be a vampire and move on her own?
Even though everyone is hurt right now and pretty pissed at Dwayne, I don't see Dwayne moving on from them. They're a family. So maybe Tara will end up dead... I don't know how this will end, but I know whatever way you go, it will be a good ending.
Get ready. I always say it. You are such a great author. I love how each chapter makes me speculate the whole story and the characters. Its all so enthralling.
I think one of the shining little moments was when Tara was going through her reasons for becoming a vampire. Its not that growing older is the scary part, its when your body starts to betray you. I know Dwayne is worried about Tara's sister, but I do think Tara wouldn't regret becoming a vampire.

Brilliant as always. Very tense. Left lots of questions to be answered. I’m thinking that Tara and Dwayne are actually soul mates but they are just to damaged to see it. Hoping for a “happy ending” where Tara and Dwayne end up together. I’ll be waiting with baited breath for the next chapter.

I always say this, but your writing never ceases to amaze me. The first scene broke me. I kinda choked up there for a moment at the sincerity of Tara's and Dwayne's emotions. Tara has had one shitty thing happen to her after another. She has to deal with vampires, confront realizations about her past from the last chapter, and now she can't see her sister. Why should she be scared of Dwayne or the others when nothing is going good for her right now? I love her numb reaction to seeing Dwayne and how he is so understanding. That embrace between them spoke volumes. Much more than kissing. He actually cares about her and even opens up about his own sister. That is some of the best prose I've read in a while.
And then the second scene! Never once has any interactions with the Lost Boys ever felt anything but authentic. I freakin' loved this one too. David truly is a great leader. He does not want any of this human buisiness, and though I do think that he is still jaded by Star, he is willing to let Dwayne go on with his human fling. He does not fight it when he is outvoted, and he takes it with grace. I like that he actually considers the whole situation. "Is she Lost?"
I'm not sure what he would have done if Dwayne said yes. David is done with humans, but would he allow Tara? Hm... His last line is a threat however. So i doubt he is thinking that handing the bottle to Tara is an option.
Moving on, Dwayne definitely wins vampire boyfriend of the year! Not only did he comfort Tara earlier, but he is actually thinking about her. He thought about that future possibility of the sister coming back into Tara's life. He isn't just pursuing this because its fun. He genuinely cares about Tara. Just because they didn't have an instant soul mate bond does not mean that they can't fall in love and be in love either.

You are going to break my heart. Aren't you?
I have a prediction that Tara is going to slip up about the vampire thing right in front of David and whenever that chapter happens we're going to be left with a cliffhanger of David baring his fangs at Tara or something and Dwayne jumps in between them or something.

Oh! Sidenote: Does your one shot scene with Sylvia and David take place in the same universe as this story? Cause... I'm not saying, but I'm just saying you could possibly maybe bring her into the story? Well. If she's still alive. You never really did divulge about what happened between those two... Knowing David things could have gone really good or... really bad...

Excellent as always. I think David knows Dwayne is in love with her. I’m happy Paul supported him and shocked as hell that Cat put someone else’s needs/desire before her own. I think she regrets telling them about Taras questions/suspicions as quickly as she did.
Dwayne and Taras relationship is a much more mature relationship than Paul and Cat’s but I think it’s equally as strong and I think Tara is his mate. David needs to stop equating every situation back to his and Stars. Dwayne was right when he said the reason Max is dead is because he couldn’t get his mind around slowly becoming involved.

Wow! This one was a long one! I loved every sentence! While I'm excited to get to the real drama between Tara and the Lost Boys, I also appreciate that you are building this up instead of rushing to it. Tara's moments of introspection really rounds out her character. I loved the scene with Julian and her on the balcony. I like that you had her realize that she wasn't completely blameless in that relationship, that she has her own flaws too. Is she going to see her sister before she leaves New York again or try to at least? Or will she really put everything behind her and decide to leave things be?

Paul's character also shined in this chapter. That whole conversation was so well written! "She ain't Tara, though." The implications in those four words speak volumes. Tara isn't good enough. Its looking like Dwayne really is on his own with this situation here. I can't tell if Dwayne loves Tara enough to eventually leave his family... probably not, but his love is enough to think about turning her and enough to lie.

I have a feeling that the next chapter is going to end with a really devious cliffhanger. Everyone will be together again, and something's gonna blow. Tara: "Hey, Cat, its nice to know that you aren't being abused by Paul! Just some kinky vampire blood stuff! Sorry about the confusion." *Everyone glares at Dwayne* Probably not, haha.

Yay! Another chapter. I LOVE Paul in this chapter. There’s a lot more hounding that might appear with him. He’s quite the voice of reason. I really hope Tara and Dwayne are able to resolve their situation without bloodshed. A thought I’m having: Would Dwayne leave The Lost Boys in order to stay with Tara? How would David and the boys react? Can’t wait to see how this turns out.
