Yes I would have liked a little more bromance at the end also and I agree Scott was awesome as usual...Love him he is so talented and as Alex said " so good at what he does.."your writing is so good...I really enjoy it...I was happy that in Season 7 episode 1 Steve did thank Danny and they had a moment...

I'm fairly new to H50 and catching up on back episodes. One thing I've been doing is obsessively reading fix it fics for the season 6 finale; ICAM with both your AN here and Gracie's rant. I'm appalled that despite Danny saving Steve's life twice AND still taking down the bad guy despite being injured himself, the team, including Steve, essentially crapped all over him. I loved the first chapter of this for Danny baring his soul to Steve about his treatment and Steve finally offering up a decent thank you. And I loved the second chapter for Grace's fiery, scathing admonishment of the team-go Grace. IA with a few of the other reviewers in that the ending felt a bit rushed-I would've loved individual apologies to Danny from ALL the team-but I'm still more than content with what you gave us. Well done!

I think that this fic was really good! But ending as good as it was felt little bit rushed.

I loved it. I wish you would have added more but there really isn't a good reason to explain the teams actions.

I was expecting more from the previous chapter, but this worked as well. It was nice to get Grace's perspective, because she had a lot more to lose than everyone else did. I was not as thrilled with this episode as everyone said I would be watching it, so I am glad that we have fan fiction writers who address these issues with what happens, and does not happen, on the show.

I like that you addressed some of those issues from the season finale. I felt hurt for the character, and it just felt awkward, and a bit painful as well. I am glad that you voiced those pains in this story. The set up four months later, and the cliffhanger works well in this opening chapter.

THIS WAS PERFECT! This is exactly how it should've happened! The way you showed Danny's hurt and how Steve picked up on it and then his apology and their talk was just amazing! Why couldnt they have done this in the show? This second chapter was great - I'm so glad that reviews encouraged you to write it. Grace's rant was spot on - she really is her father's daughter! Loved it - so glad that you wrote this! :)

Warrior's Bride sent me over here to read this. We were both very annoyed by the end of the season 6 finale, so it was nice to read someone's response to that. I'm not sure why the writers treat Danny so poorly. I think he's really the heart of the show. I really liked Danny's line telling Steve to take care of his liver. That's definitely something he would say. It would have been great if Grace had been able to say something to the team during the episode. I think some of the dialogue in this story sounded a bit old for Grace, but it needed to be said and she was the one to do it. She's definitely her father's daughter. Thanks for sharing a great story.

Thank you for pointing out in your author's note that Danny was in no condition to be a liver donor for Steve, there is more to being a donor than just a blood test. The whole liver transplant idea sounded, to me, more like a Fanfiction idea than an episode for television...sometimes stories in FF can be a little unbelievable...not that this is always a bad thing.

Grace gave a heartfelt and justified bawling out to the team. She shot her arrow, and her reckoning was true. Thank you, "Grace"...Cubit2, to be exact.
I confess I have always been one of those Steve fans. BUT I cannot condone his mediocre attempt to thank Danny. I have a deeper appreciation for Danny's character since reading this chapter.
Nearing the end of Grace's rant, I realized Danny would do whatever was necessary, and with anonymity if need be, to save a loved one. He has the depth of character few can boast.
I am hoping the writers of H5-O will set things on a better path next season!

I was saddened, perhaps sickened, by how Danny was treated at the end of the season finale. This was a great chapter. I loved Danny's line, "Take care of my liver." Of course he would say this...because Steve is going in Rambo style! Moving on to chapter 2...

Well, you know what I think about the ending, due to my personal rants of what was lacking in the last 10 minutes of the episode. Lack of concern from his team mates "Ohana". Lack of appreciation. Lack of genuine respect.

Sometimes out of the mouth of teenagers, the whole ugly truth spills out. They don't care what other people think, and at this moment, Grace is spot on. I am glad she ranted and gave every one of them a what for. I think she felt like no one cared about what happened to her father. In the last six years, she has came close to loosing him so many times. He has sacrificed himself over and over to find Steve, protect Steve and stand by Steve. Now, I do know that Steve would do the same, but he is always showered with praises galore, and all Danny seems to get is some snarky comment. He always seems to be put down and teased and I am tired of him being treated that way. I know the writers use their bantering "married" relationship to bridge off a lot of things, but lately it has gone directly South. Danny deserves praise and recognition for what he has done, did and continues to do. I hope somehow, next season, they will figure that out. So yeah for Grace for letting her "Ohana" have it. She is tired of seeing her Danno hurt and used. There has been too many risks lately, and even a cat only has 9 lives...

This chapter just flowed perfectly and captured Grace's emotions (and mine also) beautifully. I felt very sad when Danny and Grace made an eye to eye exchange when Danny didn't get any 'Get well soon' cards. So, I feel what Grace spoke was perfect. I myself as a daughter would have done the same thing.
I remember a true incident that took place between a father who is a famous politician and his son, an actor. The father needed immediate kidney and his son was a perfect match. In spite of it, the son was hesitant, and the time delay cost the old man's life. When there r people like these, imagine a friend doing it in a blink. There is no need to honour him but it would have been better if they could make him happy atleast.

Fanfictions author's have 'heart' I guess. Thanks for the beautiful extra chapter. :)
