I decided to review this chapter because it's my favorite (for obvious reasons). 8 chapters for a kiss was TOTALLY worth the wait!

Okay, maybe I was wrong about Puck enrolling into Hywell to "keep an eye" on Sabrina or "fend off other potential suitors" and maybe I was also wrong about this story taking another adventurous twist but you did tell me this would be different from Seventeen and Brink – and in the loveliest way, it was! I am so glad I'm wrong.

I felt completely content while reading these 8-9 chapters. How do I explain this – the topic at hand (university, new page in life, growing up, leaving home, etc. etc.) are important and universal experiences, but they're placid and tranquil enough and not anything like "oh sh*t the goblins are gonna take over every stinkin' Everafter kingdom" or "that dragon is your FATHER?" and as much as the other options are FUN and WILD and EMOTIONALLY DRAINING (in the best way possible), I think the word that best describes this story for me is: serene. Sure, there were some ups and downs with Emily and Jen but those minor issues were so easily dismantled by simply COMMUNICATING (god bless), and Puck's little additions weren't a bad touch either.

Because this is a shorter story and also because I completely forgot to review it last night (I was doing my readings! I'm proud of me!) this is gonna be a little shorter than my usual end-of-story rants and I'm mostly just picking out my favorite parts of this chapter.

"Why did their kisses always end in fistfights?" –– this is the PERFECT summary o grown up and in a loving yet physical (in more ways than one…?) relationship. I will never get sick of these two and the way you write them.

"'Can we . . .' she began, her ear over his heart, listening to its steady beat, remembering the times when she'd been afraid for his life, 'can we go real slow? I think I might not freak out as much.'" –– how realistic and refreshing this is! It's so mature of her to want to take things slowly but also that she recognizes that she's a little overwhelmed about everything – it is adorable, the things that he makes her feel. True love MUST be real.

"'Goodnight,' she corrected him, 'not goodbye.'" –– I recognize this from a different story of yours! I don't have enough time to go through which ones, but I love the familiarity of it, I love that it's kind of their "thing" to say in your versions of P x S. And I guess I just love how pure the line is – "goodnight, NOT goodbye" – as if she's making sure she does see him later, and that she wants HIM to know it's not goodbye and that he MUST come back. Am I overthinking this?

"'Couldn't keep my feet on the ground tonight even if I tried. I'm gonna fly.'" –– MY FAVORITE LINE OF THIS ENTIRE STORY. Any and every single time authors write Puck in pure, untainted, honest and GLEEFUL love is a win in my book. The world needs more of this genuine love and I'm so, so happy this was in Nineteen.

Lastly - THAT EPILOGUE. THAT PROPOSAL. THE FACT THAT HE GAVE HER A CHOICE. Now that there is a boy worth keeping.

This is the Puck I know and love! Annoying, more immature than he is mature, but doting and sweet in ways you'd only see if you looked – which Sabrina is CLEARLY doing.

Also, maybe I was wrong. Puck would never voluntarily enrol himself into an academic institution.

I'm so sad this is only 10 chapters! I'm almost halfway done! That being said, because I know it's shorter than the others I've read so far, I'm deliberately trying to slow down and savor each chapter. I think I'm doing okay so far!

I have work to do but this was a lovely treat for the end of the work/school week!

Honestly I don't think I'm ready for this. It already has a particular tone and a specific vibe that I'm already falling in love with. I don't know if that's because among all your stories I've read so far, this is the closest to my own age and stage of life right now. Mind you I've just turned 21 myself but I keep catch myself thinking I'm still 19, and I'm not sure why (it wasn't a particularly bad or great year, it was … meh?). But I think it's very likely I'm already enjoying the story because it's about what I'm currently going through - finding out my place in this world, allowing college/university to mould me for better or for worse, meeting people, learning from people, and just throwing myself at LIFE. I can't wait to see what fantastic twist you'll bring to this setup though. It can't just be "college au" and the end. My expectations are sooooo high but I have absolutely no doubt that I will still be amazed with what I'm met with.

There's a quote in here that made me GUFFAW - "I thought it was going to be like. . . solitary confinement. You know - you locked in a room with a ton of books, just. . . reading for years and years."

Puck, sweetie, you're not wrong.

(That is literally me. in university. trying to get by. Just locked in solitary confinement. and reading. and reading. and reading. for what feels lik s.)

The other line that made me GASP & GRIN (a double combo!) was the one about him seeing her in a dress for the first time at Seven's wedding. Wow, the purity of their conversation got me feeling so giddy. Like. Is he flirting? Does he even know?

Speculation 3917754 - Puck's going to enrol at Hywell, whether Sabrina likes it or not (but between you and me and Puck, we all know she's gonna like it).

I was a little surprised that the two actually kept in touch, only because it didn't feel like they did from the way she mentioned Puck in the first few chapters. But it makes sense logically (Jake must've gotten him a phone at SOME point) and I like to think they kept in close touch over the years while he traveled and even when he returned to take over the mantle of King of Faerie.

Anyway! I'll leave you with that. I typed this review on my PHONE - now if that's not reviewer dedication, I don't know what is - because you deserve all the reviews!

I'm probably going to binge-read this, I can tell. I'm loving this story already.
