Horrible scene ... how Gray try so hard for not forgetting .. not to lose his memory ... and unfortunately... I can feel how afraid he is arrgh I can't take it ... but I love it T.T (Graaay I sorry T.T... it so horrible... horror .. and I'm sure he feels so hurt .. seizures, coughing blood, hot and cold in same time . It's painful ... and his death memory ... (something is very, very wrong).. (and something is Terribly wrong) and etc ... I don't know but this part is so hurt, painful, and part how Gray tried to remember Lucy and Erza (I'm crying T.T) and Lyon (Gray mentioned him 'brother' (arrgh author you break my heart T.T) ... so Hurt T.T

...Speaking of ripping hearts out.

I came to check out your other ffs after reading the butterfly story and ...WOW- this one might be just as good! Amazingly written. I think it was great that the memory was repeated in full length every time - I always read the whole thing, too - because that's the way Gray experienced it and I came as close as possible to experiencing it with him, like I was trapped in his memory as well. That's how it's supposed to be. Well done!

I like your interpretation of "Memento Mori" much more than the actual one-just disappearing is much less fitting to remind one of their mortality than replaying an actual death scene while everything else that belongs to "life" , all those names and memories, fade and become insignificant, until all the person knows of is the certainty of their own death. And even after their death it keeps haunting those close to the body, so that the cursed one does not even get a place where his loved ones can remember his life, all they can think of is his gruesome death, so that said certainty keeps looming over them as well.
(Very) long story short-I loved that idea (which you probably couldn't guess from what I wrote at all, right? xD )
Gray's last few hours were the most well-written part imo, I liked his last concious thought very much, even more so the way it was presented. The ending of the ff was terribly heartbreaking, but a "good" conclusion.
Anyways, I'll stop rambling now! I hope all of this made at least a little sense; I have not slept in 48 hours and my English suffers visibly.

I know this is an older story for you but I just wanted to say I incredibly enjoyed reading it and every detail that you've put into this. I've only very recently gotten into fan-fiction and I can honestly say that this is the first one that I've really truly enjoyed. Possibly because I'm rather a masochist and anything to do with Gray dying crushes my heart but is my twisted favourite. Just wanted to say thank you for creating this!

Guess who's back from the dead? XD JK. I read the prologue of this and decided to wait a little longer for this to be finished, but time was very fast and now you're in chapter 8 of the sequel. My class starts tomorrow so I'll try to catch up until the latest chapter.

As of now, I am truly amazed at how you could write almost all types of stories. There are the heartbreaking ones, the encouraging ones, the sweet fluffy parts (ONLY PARTS. You never write pure fluff.) , the action ones, and even the horrific ones. Yes, this horrified me and gave me goosebumps. I felt sad for Gray because he experienced two days of just swimming in and out of consciousness, fighting off the horrible pain, struggling not to forget, 'dying'... In short, a real nightmare. I also like how Natsu allowed himself to be dragged into Gray's memories. Natsu felt like this was all his fault, and I think the reason why he did that was not only to know what really happened. There's a large part of him that wants to atone for his sins, and that's just sad.

Also, what a heartbreaking way to end the story. Thanks again for this beautiful fanfiction.
