Sorry it took me a while to r3ad your chapter but I think it’s geat as always. i’m happy that they are talking, communicating because 5heybare better together

The part about Matt’s family doesn’t make sense. You mention him not seeing them for two years, yet in one of the previous chapters, he got into an argument with Gabby and got to notice her ptsd because he didn’t think she was nice enough to Violet.
The rest of the chapter is quite good though.

I was psyched albeit surprised to see the update when I woke up this morning. Just sorry it took me all day to get to reading and reviewing, especially since I enjoyed it. Definitely would not say this was filler (although I do wish it had been longer).

Is it weird that I felt worse for Gabby than Matt in the aftermath of the whole I love you debacle than Matt? Don't get wrong, throwing a glass at your boyfriend because he told you he loves you is definitely a pretty bad reaction, and I felt for Matt when Severide found him all sad and everything. Plus, I totally understand why he would have needed space after what had happened. Still, there was something about Matt finding her sleeping on the couch, all broken, and essentially admitting that she wasn't sure if he had left her that I just found really heart-breaking. Glad to see her starting to open up to Severide and then Matt. Looking forward to (hopefully) the rest of their conversation in Chapter 14.

Something tells me that Matt's visit to Jason is going to come back to bite him, especially since Jason knows who he is and where he lives. I can totally see Jason using what happened to try to get to Gabby and further throw her off-balance. Like with Matt leaving after the I love you/glass throwing, I understand why he would have acted that way. After what Jason has done to both him and Gabby and the effect it's had on her and their relationship, Matt was right that he had it coming. But it's also probably going to wind up not being the best way he could have handled the situation. Can't wait to see if I'm right and how Gabby and Matt move through and eventually past this. Plus, at some point Gabby's got to return the I love you, right?

Waking up to this update was seriously amazing. I had the biggest smile on my face and totally worth the wait. Loved the tension between them but they managed to talk it out which is extremely important in a relationship. Can't wait to see what's next for them. Hope it doesn't take you long to update the next chapter.. this story is my drug lol especially now with Fire being in hiatus
