To begin with the story takes place in the anime format being the exception of the additional characters besides the main ones in arc v, as it;s alternative universe/story. I like how from the very beginning we understand that ryuu is very compotent duelist yet doesn't allow that pride to go to his head, very calm, cool, collected and determined with a no nonsense type of attitude with a little compassion.. I also like how it's made that even though he's the best. The spot light doesn't leave yuya. As he slowly develops his own character through the story.. what else is good is that yuya doesn't always feel like he lives in his brother's shadow. but slowly proves himself to him, his brother and to anyone that he can hold his own and showcase the entertainingment dueling that was taught to him and his brother. As for yuto I liked how fleshed out he is written yes it's follows the anime heavily but there's a small difference like how he was allowed to stay. Again that was a great move on your part, it added more of his influcence, the setting of how your writing style discripts the seriousness of the situation and paints an image of how long he and shun been fighting.. with the tone of war set into place. Yet at the same time doesn't rush as the progress of information regarding their situation is played out whether it be a flashback or explaining it to other characters. The characters are introduced slowly and they showcase what they can do, they are not so easily forgotten after their introduction.. especially those before the tournament took place. I feel like everyone has their own place in the story as mysteries are unraveled bit by bit.. and one question leads to another. Yuzu and Gogenzaka, Satawari, Sora, Reiji pretty much everyone is in character. I like how the most important duels is given the play by play detail, while the shorter duels help move the story without still not leaving the feeling of some intensity in the mix. Actually It feels very much that this could even have been a Canon Arc V Story..because nothing feels like it's out of place. Now how you did the synchro arc so far, even I'm blown away with the fact the 5ds crew seen that neo domino city changed despite all they done. Added the fact that there is now a fake jack atlas which is a nice touch, in addition to the signer dragons and their counterparts role in the story so far.. Some of which you wrote I didn't remember from the actual anime so it helped me see the plot on a deeper scale. From here on out I suggest you continue to keep up with the story, mix it up with your own ideas while giving off that it could have been a canon story on:7:11 pmFrom:J'meirI also like how you changed it from yuya to ryuu to be the one that roger targets and having him battle yusei.. again didn't see it coming

Also to add , i love how there is also another looklikes besides yuya and his brothers... i consider that third look like to be a sort of guardian that stood by rei and they oppressed zarc.. together in the past.

I am not sure who asks this if this Guest and Ciandoo is the same person but I am pleased to know you enjoy my story. in a way yes Zarc and several others can see duel spirits according to YGO lore. Zarc being the original owner of the 4 dimensional dragons.
We know in season 3 he and Yuya fused and the people who stand against him talk of him as a unusual fusion between human and spirit.

this spirit part is the second link Ventus , Gabriel , Azrael , Ryuu . their original persona I will not reveal now but the spirits had stand against him the day the universe split into 4. their original self had stood against him along side ray
