I still love your story, and I'm fond of the relationship between Harry and Albus in your story.
I really like how you develop some aspects of magic, and I often had the same reflections and deductions about it as you (I just wasn't really into this nature stuff with Arthur and Merlin but anyway it's OK), even if I imagined Arithmancy differently! I always thought that Arithmancy would be like magic probabilities, calculating the efficiency of a spell versus an other one, with charts and all, a bit like %focus, %strenght, %finesse, and learning to calculate your affinities with the different branches of magic (like why one is better in transfiguration but less able in charms) etc. But it's a detail anyway.

I didn't read all your answers to comments so I don't know if you already tackle the subject, but I saw that you seem to be inclined to make a Harry/Hermione. I don't really fancy the ship, to me it doesn't work well and I like the canon ship in general but I can certainly make an exception. In the canon I really like the idea that Albus was in love with Gellert and that Gellert may have loved him too somehow... (While also using him), but I dont' think you intend to make it appear in the fic.
Anyway I love Minerva/Albus.

I loved how you wrote pieces of memories with James, Lily, and Sirius and Marley etc. It was touching.

Overall I'm really pleased to have discovered this fanfic and I look forward to read COH part III.

I loved all the verbal interaction around Harry's birth and naming. I laughed several times.

Most stories have Harry being born at St. Mungo's but that never made sense to me because of the threat that Voldy could get to them there so easily. This, him being born at home, makes far more sense.

Exciting, tense scenes. I think I read these before but have forgotten most (not because your stories aren't memorable, simply because I have read so many stories) so am re-reading them.

I hope that Sirius gets his freedom and doesn't die in your stories. His death was the one thing in the actual books I hated the most.

I am terrible at leaving reviews, but I just thought I'd let you know that there's yet another person reading your story, and absolutely loving it!

I discovered this a few days ago, and I think I'll have to pace myself so I don't catch up to where you are with the story too quickly. It's just so good.
In my opinion there can never be enough stories where Dumbledore takes a more active role in Harry's life, or just stories with a good portrayal of Dumbledore's character (and Minerva's tbh).
Sadly a lot of those stories go a bit overboard, but you've portrayed them really well. Especially with Dumbledore being such a complex character.

I could write a whole list of things I love about this story, but I guess I'll save some for future reviewsHope you'll keep writing!

I've enjoyed the first story and so far what I've read in this story.

Although your story is interesting, I find that ALL relevant events are exactly as canon. I don't know why you try to do another copy of the books, really. I would suggest to make the plot different, because it is quite evident what is going to happen.

Having read this entire assemblage, I must state that it presents a most fantastic view of how the Dementors affect Harry. The depths of the imagery, and that he would grow to long for it, is a measure missing from the books themselves, and not often handled well in general.

The treatment of it here in, and the response from those who grew to understand what the memory would mean for him, was grand.

Masterful conclusion.

Given how the novels go, I wonder if you will given certain characters a more intense version of their fates...

If you are implying in this line ‘The son too had died, but at least he'd been blessed enough to be born a male.’ That males aren’t sexually harmed, that isn’t true. Both genders have inherent gifts and blessings, indeed. However, rape and related crimes are FAR from only ‘female victim, male perpetrator’. I sincerely hope that isn’t what you meant...
