No reason to make Ahsoka's lightsabers shorter, actually. She had lightsabers of two different lengths: a standard-length lightsaber for her dominant hand and a "shoto" lightsaber for her off-hand. The "shoto" or short-length lightsaber is a bit like a long dagger and is actually the type of lightsaber Yoda uses for his main weapon due to his stature. This combination of long blade and dagger-length blade is meant to for a particular kind of dual-wielding style in which one weapon attacks and the other is focused on parries-the shorter weapon being the support rather than the main focus. Dual-wielding two equal-length weapons is supposed to be more difficult. This is why, in Knights of the Old Republic, there are shorter weapons with the "balanced" trait that increase their accuracy when used in dual-wielding, and why the shoto lightsaber has that trait.

Great chapter . I was always confused about the whole thing with not forming attachments when jedi who have padawans are more or less forming attachments

This has been a really interesting story so far. Then again, I really do like au stories. With those two sides worshipping the light and the dark and the clone wars still raging on, I'm eager too see where the story will go next.
