Getting into Matatagi's mind is always amazing, and the way you wrote it was completely wonderful.

I really liked this story. It's been a while since I read a fic about Matatagi, so I decided to give a shot. The feels got me. Indeed Matatagi, when you think about it rationally, you would never be someone who is called a hero. In the eyes of society, you'll be always the bad guy, the antagonist. But in the end, to you family, to your younger siblings, you're their hero.

It was nice how you started with overall view of Matatagi, and his troubles... and then, I'm the part way the family was included as well. Indeed, his brothers do not know what he might've done for them, and he might not be a perfect father-figure... but in the end no one is perfect. (And yes, he is doing better job than his father).
