| Lex chapter 7 . 4/20/2006 Not the most impressive story I have ever read, but it has some interesting points. The writing style is correct, but the general flow and characterisation still needs some work ; the way things happen is a bit off, and the connection between the scenes is a bit awkward. As for the characters, somehow I cannot feel what they actually feel or think. There is some misspelling but nothing too alarming - just run a spellchecker through your chapters before posting and it should be fine. What really bothers me is random capitalization of words through the whole fic... What's with that? is it suppose to have some particular meaning? Ex in this chapter : Now that stopped the Introspective Potions Master in his tracks. When His inner voice starts... Why the capital letters for 'introspective' and 'his'? Remember that capitalization usually means something (i.e. nouns with specific -and often abstract- values) and is not to be used at random. It is very distracting and breaking the reading rythm. Quite often I had to re-read the sentences to ignore this mistake, and this is definitely unpleasant. Altogether this is not a bad fic, but it definitely needs some work. Sincerely, Lex |
