Good twists!

Good stuff this! :) I hope updates will be resuming, this is such an interesting story just crackling along with wit and intrigue :)

The premise of this story is so interesting and you write very well! I dearly hope it hasn't been abandoned. You have a great grasp of the characters voices and it's easy to imagine them in this setting. Your attention to detail, like this last chapter dealing exclusively with Gaby's struggle to just physically move Illya, really fleshes out the narrative. I'm very curious to find what Gaby is up to. From Napoleon's perspective, she certainly seems to be stalking Illya (which is true) with murderous intent, but I'm not so sure. She seems too concerned with injuring him as little as possible to just up and kill him when he comes to. I think too that she might be a little surprised to find that she likes him.
I wonder how both waverly and Gaby's uncle will come into play but I have a feeling that they will.
Anyway, I'm very intrigued to learn more about Gaby's motives and am eagerly awaiting the next chapter of this story!

*growls* I do NOT like Gaby. How dare she?

And, alright, the only reason I'm reading this is because Ilya is terrific... And she's hurting ilya!

...is she from the film? I suppose I should watch it at some point... *sighs* I'm deeply prejudiced against it.

Mostly because you've done a bloody brilliant job capturing the characters - at least the original ones and even if it wasn't intentional I LOVE the McCallum case... *Grins - and this is an absolute pleasure.

ohhh, nice and intriguing, especially the end. I like the detail of him losing grasp over english-even slipping back into Russian. You can tell just how badly he's being affected by how clipped his sentences are getting. :)
