I've meant to read this for ages, but I kept forgetting. I'm so glad I finally did! I loved it so much! The way you wrote Marco and Ace's relationship was perfect! Their interactions were funny and sweet! I cried for Ace's sake several times throughout this fic, but I'm so glad he gets to be happy with Marco in the end! And Sabo and Luffy are safe, happy, and healthy too! It was all just so beautiful! Thanks for writing it! You did an awesome job! (Also, you mentioned posting on ao3 in chapter 3. I absolutely adored this fic, like wow it was just an experience. Man, you made my heart feel tender and I could feel the love Ace had for his brothers and Marco. Like it was just amazing. You were able to build a world from basically scratch. I could clearly see the terrible kingdom ace lived in. I felt myself tear up from the injustice and utter poverty that plagued it. Like I felt so much dread and grim when Ace was going to sell himself. Like I stopped reading for a minute and just agonized over what was going to happen. I absolutely love how you integrated magic, like how a natural dragon’s death equaled to a water crystal. I think I read a manga a longtime ago, that had almost the same concept except with serpents. And I just couldn’t help but love this detail.
I really love how you characterized everyone, I love that Marco’s super confident and playful. Sabo unnerving demeanor and calm front. Like we haven’t seen seen Sabo much, yet you were able to make his character come alive. Ace was just ... like I felt like I knew him. Uhh I hope that makes sense. The way you wrote this story allows the reader to know what Ace is thinking and feeling, point of view through Ace was so well done.
The utter devotion Ace has for his siblings was heart warming and heart wrenching. When he king sent him to the dungeon, I was so angry and confused.(so many feels) I loved how you characterized him because at Ace’s core has always been his bond with his brothers. I though it was funny and understandable that Ace’s emotion show up on his face. Because homeboy’s a bit emotional and was quick to anger when as a kid.( because he didn’t know how to express all his feels and anger was familiar to him ) I felt like Ace’s red face and general reaction towards Marco were sweet, funny and natural.
When Marco and Ace were getting together I felt anticipation and just thought it was sweet to see them get together. ( and be together) like I didn’t need any smut I was just utterly blinded by their love for one another. What you wrote made sense and I wasn’t left thinking “ kisses aren’t done like that” or “ what position are they in ?” I just loved the implications you made , how they had a month of bliss.
Oh and Marco was just such a dream love, like he cared for Ace and was just lovely. I just loved him. The bird wing hugging was really sweet. And like for Marco we don’t really know much about him yet either, we don’t know the full extent of his devil fruit or his back story. But I feel like you encompassed his character really well. I’m not sure why but in the fandom Marco is seen a a stick in the mud and that’s not what I got from him. So I love that you made him playful, loyal,caring and cocky.
Oh and when they finally got their freedom I was just so happy for the.
I also love that there was a huge difference between Marcos kingdom and Gou kingdom. Like it just made me happy that everyone was going to be okay and happy. Although some parts felt rushed and needed pacing, this is still an exceptionally beautiful story. I absolutely loved how long the story is and that its complete.

Am I the only one focusing on how Sabo will find happiness from here on out? Unlike in the past, where the two relied on him, now said two can live happily on their own without any help. How will Sabo live after that? Ace has a mate, checked. Luffy's not sick anymore and can go on his own adventures if he ever leaves, checked. Where does that put Sabo? This...The M rating section leaves me thinking... Thank you for writing this story.

Not only you build the universe so well, but you describe Ace, Sabo and Luffy, their actions and emotions, so right! And Marco is so great. I litterally melt in a puddle reading all the soft moments between him and ace. And I am so happy for them all at the end!
