Yikes, Ice King/Simon is so disturbing that even a newborn dragon doesn't want any part of him XD! But helping it lead to the closure that the group needed and while the apologies and friendship restoration was a bit wordy, it felt necessary to tie any loose ends! This was a far more optimistic, hopeful ending than the predecessor and I enjoyed it!

Whoa, that was an intense conversation! I'm glad that Finn wasn't the only one called out for negative traits in this scenario! PB can come across as condescending to her peers and Marceline can be dangerously reckless. While tough pills to swallow, these realizations are ultimately more beneficial when they're out in the open. Leave it to the Ice King to provide fun comic relief in the background to keep the story from feeling too heavy! I'm not surprised that he tried to snatch the hatching egg but it's still hilarious!

Yeah, I can see Marceline being less forgiving since she already dealt with a manipulative jerk before and Finn pretty much shattering his good-guy image. Her bond with Simon is super sweet though! I loved his heart-to-heart with Finn but I think it's going to lead to nothing but trouble since the human feels the need to confront her for her attitude now. This doesn't bode well for him!

This continuation matches the tone of the first story pretty well! I like how PB didn't forgive Finn outright and that she wasn't pulled into that lovey-dovey bullcrap that Finn keeps trying to bring up. Jake makes a great wingman too! I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of conflict the egg will bring!

It's always nice to run into something original, or maybe I just haven't been looking very hard, but it's still a harsh take on repercussions that Finn was never really exposed too, which I can appreciate. The show itself could never do that much, so letting fanfiction fill in the "what if's" truly gives an expansion to the AT universe. Props to you, and Red Witch.
