What do you mean not being able to keep corporeal form? Is this a thing you created or is this canon? Because as a OP fan I've not heard of this. Most Logias have trouble maintaining an incorporeal form. Some, probably most can be caught off guard and get hit without the attacker using Haki. Look at Smoker being tackled by Luffy at the restaurant for example.
