Awesome update worth the wait

Fantastic chapter! I really enjoyed the parts with Joanna learning sword fighting. I love how Joanna can hold her own among the likes of Stannis.

Yeah, 14 chapters in - with no change to the canon plotline - the only thing you managed so far was baiting us to believe something would be different when Joanna was there when Tyrion was arrested only for it to turn out exactly the same as canon. Despite with Joanna, a royal Princess the firstborn daughter of the King present the Guards they (Tyrion and her should have had with them) would have to be substantial at minimum consisting of at least one Kingsguard in addition to many more.

So Catelyn should have never ever been able to pull the same thing she did in canon where Tyrion was with two to three men ... Hell, even the fact that Joanna could have told Catelyn the same thing she didnt believe Tyrion, that the dagger wasnt his should have changed the whole thing ... instead, we have this rehash of canon with an OC.

An OC i might add should have either accelerated the discovery of Cersei Bastards by years since she shares no feature with any of her siblings or made that particular plotline of them finding out her blond-haired children are Bastard entirely obsolete because there is a Black haired child of Robert.

At this point, I really have to wonder what is the point of this story -

Browsing the review of the following chapters -
Stannis trying to get the throne - are you fucking kidding - this guy is all about duty and in GoT a daughter comes before the father's brother in the line of succession so Stannis would have backed Joanna claim. No question asked or he would have been a Usurper just like Renly and shied from his duty.
Everything else is butchering his character -

Joanna is elegant and politicially astute as always! I think she and Ser Davos could be good friends (of sorts), and I look forward to seeing how this meet with Renly will go!

I've always wondered with Baratheon Daughter OC's, why Stannis doesn't declare the daughter the rightful heir to the throne. Sure he's technically the next male heir in line but HIS heir is his daughter and technically Shireen would be the Queen. So why doesn't Stannis declare for his niece? Considering she's the daughter of the man who was actually a Kingis a princess herself. Anyways just my thoughts. I was kinda hoping she would've smuggled Sansa along but I understand plot-wise. I look forward to seeing where you go with this story.
