I've never really been good with symbolism but I think your conveying that Jaune' s desire for revenge will get himself killed and that he want to be in joans place? Kinda what I gathered from it. Kinda just found this and I'm liking it. It a very cool concept, so does his absorb power work on everyone? If so that would be an interesting scene to have with jaune just draining the power from a dying enemy or friend.

I hope that you’ll have a chapter that focuses on Jaune bonding with his team.

Not bad chapter at all, pretty nice and sweet

Great story so far. I like how Jaune ends up on Cardin's team as that opens up some very interesting pathways for him. My only gripe so far has to do with the fact that he stood up for Velvet. This seems weird because it seems as though he'd have a hard time liking Faunus now that the White Fang helped lead to his father's death. It may have been indirect but the only reason the Grimm attacked was because the White Fang was trying to cause trouble. Also, it seems overdone as almost every writer and story has the main character stand up for Velvet.
