I have always - always - loved the Mirror of Erised portion of the Sorcerer's Stone; it breaks my heart, and that nostalgia for something that we know and feel but can't wholly be experienced again hits me harder as I grow older. I've read many a wonderful adaptation of the Erised chapter in some truly brilliant fanfiction, but yours, I believe, is the best of them all. You capture the desire that we have for some things that's so deep that it runs in our bones. Harry's realization of what the mirror truly is is a work of art in your story. Truly, beautifully, and masterfully done.

Oh man, 125 chapters looked like so many when I started, but now I’m sad to have caught up to your writing. This is so engaging, getting darker for everyone, but also with a little bit of a hope for Harry to have a connection with Snape. He has pulled away from everyone it seems, and barely even talks to Hermione anymore. It seems lonely.

The wit between Snape and Harry made me actually chuckle out loud a few times. This is such amazing writing!
