My favorite thing about this is how someone loved N1-54 before he was Nick Valentine and recognized a synth's sentience. It was also clever to have a child 'pretending to be a scientist' test the effectiveness of her bunny slippers for silence by executing experiments on multiple subjects. On that note, having a deaf girl as the hero of the tale was refreshing in the extreme.
