TinfoilxD chapter 5 . 7/13/2016 I really like this story and Machine Architect. Something about the Nasods and the Geth interacting warms the heart. |
pettrip chapter 5 . 6/15/2016 This is very interesting the concept is very note-worthy and the progression is a bit fast. it could also be interesting if Eve had least one of her organic friends with her. |
wolf chapter 5 . 6/9/2016 ye thnx for the chapter |
Guest chapter 5 . 6/9/2016 Eve seems kinda . . . dumb here, not as a character, but as a Nasod -the last of her entire race. She came to this place seeking a future for Nasod-kind, but instead of building up a small colony of her kind she starts visiting and infiltrating organic societies and putting her self at serious risk? |
Indecisive Bob chapter 5 . 6/9/2016 Nice chapter! As great as her plan to "humanize" the Geth is, I can't help but feel as if Eve's plans and actions would greatly alarm the galaxy at large if they found out about it. Geth are already the bogeymen men of the Galaxy, so how much scarier would they be if they could actually use subterfuge? Keep up the good work! |
Mf0012 chapter 5 . 6/9/2016 I admit, I actually like where this is going - no huge us vs them battles. Keep it up :) |
Mangahero18 chapter 5 . 6/9/2016 The geth are very much like small children. They need clarification on many concepts. Also they are cold unfeeling monsters...like children. |
Indecisive Bob chapter 4 . 5/15/2016 Nice chapter! I love how Eve is slowly teaching the Geth about how organics think. She might not have a full understanding of organics, but she's leagues ahead of the Geth in that department. Keep up the good work! |
Indecisive Bob chapter 3 . 5/2/2016 Nice story so far! Man, the galaxy's in for a whole bunch of surprises once Eve and her gaggle of Geth explore in the name of science and understanding organic behavior (preferably in non-violent ways). I kind of feel sorry for Eve, though. She's so hopeful about the possibilities opened up to her by Ranoch and the Geth, yet she doesn't quite know how hostile the Galaxy is to synthetic life forms. She suspects, but hopes for the best. Keep up the good work! |
Mangahero18 chapter 3 . 4/20/2016 good stuff |
magicdownunder chapter 3 . 4/20/2016 Excellent chapter as always :D |
Thepingman chapter 2 . 4/9/2016 That's one way to do it, and the rare one as well. Most crossover have races from other story repeat the First Contact War with Turian after all. But then again, I haven't read that many fanfic to say that with certainty. Your explanation about first contact is great, I just had no idea how to do it as smooth as you really. Still I wonder if you have seen Episode 9 of Space Battleship Yamato 2199? It has quite... interesting view on synthetics there; especially the Ship's XO Sanada (a Human Scientist). Some of the memorable one on top of my head include saying something like "I'm not even sure if you have heart." when the chief internal security asked him if he think that machine can have heart. Or when he countered "Just machine" argument from said chief by throwing "Are you certain that human/organic brain didn't work by processing countless autonomous programs like synthetic? There're no evidence saying that electronic brain cannot compared to organic brain either." or something along that line. |
Mangahero18 chapter 2 . 4/9/2016 Looks good so far. I feel like there will be a bit of a shock when the rest of the galaxy discovers Eve. While undoubtedly a synthetic organism like the Geth it seems like Eve and the upper class Nasod are almost indistinguishable from humans in mien. Seeing such a organic like synth would bring people to question alot of things about their preconceptions about life...both organic and not. I look forward to seeing this chaos unfold...especially the reactions of the Quarians, the creators of the other greatest synthetic life. |
Guestimon chapter 2 . 4/9/2016 Well, I did have a much longer review that was eaten, but I suppose I can dredge up some parts. I'm interested to see that you had First Contact so early into the story, the Geth doesn't really surprise me on the matter as they are the ones that would be most sympathetic, and possibly even desiring to become Nasod or quasi-Nasod themselves -possibly even folding themselves under Eve as their Queen as she represents a very large portion of what they wish to achieve, evolution and understanding rolled into one excessively potent body- but at the very least assisting the rebuilding efforts, even if they get the barest scrap of Nasod technology it would massively benefit them as let's face it -Nasod tech is beyond the Mass Effect standard that it's almost obscene. Though I am curious if you really believe introducing Eve and the Nasod into the universe after Humanity has already become a part of the Galactic Community is a good idea, I mean, sure it creates a lot of exposition and tension later on, but at the same time enforces a very short dead-line onto your civilization, as the time between the Human/Turian First Contact War and the Reaper War was a mere 30 years; and it's not like Eve, as the protagonist, has to worry about aging while she is building her civilization and advancing it's technology and society. |
Guesti The Great chapter 2 . 4/9/2016 Interesting, I would have assumed that you would have made first contact happen at a later date; after the Nasod civilization has recovered some. But I suppose the Geth would be sympathetic -if not downright horrified by the fate of the Nasod and actively help Eve rebuild her race, quickening your timeline exponentially, possibly evolving themselves into Quasi-Nasod in the process; hell, possibly elevating Eve into some position of honor, if not folding themselves under her already established hierarchy as she represents a portion of what they ultimately hope to achieve, not too dissimilar to the Borg and their Queen -even if that was a massive mistake on their part. I am a bit curious though, do you really think it's a good idea to have Eve/The Nasod civilization introduced after humanity has already become part of the greater galactic community? It makes for some nice tension and exposition later, but it also puts a rather strong deadline on you, considering that from the time of the Human/Turian First Contact War to the Reaper War was roughly 30 years give or take. Then again, Eve/Nasod tech is so beyond even the best of the rest of the Galaxy it's obscene; especially if a sufficient plentiful energy source is introduced. |
