Really like the story, especially the idea of the Caretakers. I always was a sucker for redemption of evil characters...
I'm kind of surprised that "life in prison" never came up for dealing with crapface. Yes I like to give insulting names to unreasonably evil people. Anyway, the game has capture missions, so it makes sense that the Tenno would have somewhere to put those targets where they can't escape.
Lastly, I felt like I was missing some backstory. Was this a sequel to something? And if so, could you please note that in the summary?

Using pain as a weapon... Nothing new. I watched something similar in a defunct TV show. The character who used this was not nice, but the one who took his pain was a scumbag. And in said TV show, all the pain was transfered. I tried to pity the would-be renegade, but i could not.
In my country, there's a say about pity, but i don't know how to translate to english, because here, pity and feathers use the same word.

After reading your chapter, i reflected about how easily i set aside my outrage about enslavement when a non-human is the one enslaved. So easy to do it, specially considering that this time it's a grineeer, and a reclaimer nonethenless.
If i were Sun, i would not waste the opportunity to inquire about the reason behind these observations of specific features among the slaves. I can speculate what they are, and they could even evolve to another story. And make a second check, very thorough, in her mind and in her body. "She" may be a spy.
