Great story. It fills in gaps that the show couldn’t, and deals with the angst that Nick would have had to have felt as he realized his relationship with Juliette was fated to fail, but was a much better fit with Adalind, his enemy from episode 1. Really well written.

This is a well thought out and well written story. An excellent story. I personally feel that you should write something for those of us that miss the show and wish they had kept going for several more years.

Ah, the fuzzy socks. Nick is already halfway into falling in love with Adalind, but still, what he said was really bad and I'm not surprised that Rosalee was so mad at him. And Nick' and Monroe's talk was so informative because really, nick and Adalind had this weird and very turbulent relationship since the beginning. And now they have a kid and don't hate each other anymore. And all this just really shows how his relationship with Juliette was already in shambles when this happened. And it was very clear in the show. It just went down the rabbit hole after Nick lost his Grimm powers. Amazing one-shot! I really do love your Nadalind stories!

Love this chapter. I love all your writings. You do a great job getting into the characters heads with depth and insight. You are my favorite fanfiction writer. I love Nick and Adalind too and also feel as you do the show writers didn’t do their relation justice. Thanks for making up for this in your stories.

...You actually pointed out something I never thought about.

Nick and Juliette were never meant to last. If they had been, Nick would have been able to let her go and she would have come back to him on her own. The fact that he held on so tightly showed that he chose her because he was comfortable with things. And they were never comfortable with the other keeping things secret. It was like they had to know everything on their terms, rather than waiting for the other to come clean.

With Nadalind, there was something that made it so they felt comfortable enough that they were willing to wait for the other to say stuff when they were ready.

I was never a huge fan of her, but till Adalind had Diana, there really wasn't any one else to ship Nick with.

This was so wonderful and a delight to read.

I haven't read that many Nadalind stories (I'm new to fanfiction) but i have to say that this one has turned out to be one of my favourites by far. There is a genuine honesty to the dialogue and the characters that I think gets lost sometimes in other stories. Also, most are from Adalind's POV and I found it refreshing that this is from Nick's.
One of the things that I wanted to highlight and and is perhaps the reason that I appreciated this piece so much is that conversation between Nick and Monroe. It's frank and sincere and exposes some truths that even we as viewers (especially those anti-Adalind fans) may have missed. I've long since wondered why Nick and Juliet's relationship kept hitting road blocks. Yes, he's a Grimm and that came with a host of issues that hurt them, but they were together for a long time before he even came into his power. They shared a home and a life, but they never moved on to the next step. It feels like the Universe was trying to tell them something that they both refused to see merely because they'd become comfortable in the relationship.
I love how Monroe turned the script on Nick and had him look not at what went wrong with him and Juliet, but rather why he and Adalind worked so well. How as enemies they found such a natural ease at parenting and then being together. I think that's the Universe speaking to him as well.

You're an amazing writer! I love how you capture the angst, the emotion, the humor, but best of all, what you're writing feels like it's an extension of the show. I can actually hear the characters talk exactly what you write. I kept picturing their actors saying the lines that you write, so that means you portrayed them perfectly. Bravo and I know I'll enjoy all the rest of your Nadalind fics too.

I love how you have them actually talking about the night they conceived Kelly. I have always wondered that myself, how he didnt notice that it wasnt Juliette. I mean, granted they looked the same, but how would Adalind know how to... act like Juliette in bed?
