Brilliant. You’ve really brought Farooq to life with this fic, and the way Finch and John react to the situation is spot on. I love the importance of such a simple sentence ‘there are people who care’ and how suddenly it gives all three of them a connection.

I've read a number of different renditions of this missing scene, and this one is brilliantly distinctive in giving us the perspective of the surgeon, filling out a character that the screenplay only hints at. Bravo!

This is one of the best POI fanfics I have read. I can't believe I haven't seen it before now. Beautifully written and encompassing everything I had loved about this show. You really brought Farooq to life and Reese and Finch were perfect. I would absolutely love it if you wrote more of S1 & S2 Reese/Finch. I only read S1 & S2 fics and there are so few writers that write the POI I love. Thank you.

Very good story! This is one of the best tags to number crunch that I've read. If you decide to write more it would be cool to see Reese and Finch run into Farooq later on, possibly needing his services again, or something. Keep up the good work!

Great great great. Loved the description of the medical stuff! After watching this episode, I always wondered how the morgue doctor would be able to fix up John in a morgue. You did a great job explaining how it could happen. Also, very well written.

I've wanted to read a fic like this every since I saw this episode(which is one of my favs, I absolutely love Farooq, for all that we only see him for like less than a minute!). Beautiful characterization, amazing detail, amazing connection between them all. I absolutely adore the title btw. Also, don't want to step on toes, but would you mind if I borrowed the idea of Farooq having children(and some of your characterization of his personality here) and wrote a sort of follow up for this?

This was a really well written, beautifully paced and touching piece of writing. Your charactisation of Farooq was exceptional, conveying his quick emotional movement from fear of the men who came into the morgue to respect for them. All of the emotions and the feelings seemed to have a natural progression and a truth to them.

Reading this brings to mind the situation in that episode, the drama and emotion as Finch tried to save Reese. I love the detail you bring to this scenario in describing both the practicalities of Farooq's work and his feelings about it.

His observations about John and Harold are spot-on and feel very appropriate in the circumstances. He doesn't know who they really are, but he has an idea of what they do.
