This was so fucking good that I almost forgot to review it. Omg, YLIA will never be the same to me now that I've read this. Thank you for giving Kousei and Kaori the ending that they deserved. Definitely the best YLIA fic I've ever read.

I was bored at work today. We had no customers, and I desperately needed a way to keep myself occupied, so I started reading this - just the next fic in my very long list of To-Be-Read You Lie In April fanfiction.

That was a mistake. From the very first section, the flashback in italics, I was absolutely hooked by how pure, sweet and heartwarming this was. It took every ounce of self-control I possessed to put down my phone and this story and get back to work.

Often, I find long one-shots like this tedious (between 10k and 25k), because more frequently than not such fics have a tendency to drag on, and the same amount of meaning can be conveyed through half the word count. "The Wedding" is definitely an exception - I found it engaging and moving at a good pace - it felt much shorter than 11k words.

In terms of constructive criticism - be more careful proofreading, as I found a few spelling/grammar errors as well as some tense fluctuations.

Otherwise, this fic warmed my heart. It was creative (I have to say, Kaori using her letter as her wedding vow really got to me. That was something I did not expect, and I may have shed a tear. Or two. Ingenious.), well-paced, and beautifully written. Will definitely reread.
