One part that caught me off guard though: "...Is there any part of you that wants to be in a relationship with Killian?" "Of course," Emma answered instantly. "But I know his past, I know he was in an affair with a married woman. How can I go into a relationship knowing that he has done that? I'm terrified he'll just as easily do it again." Emma's reasoning here really surprised me. They're best friends, so they're already in a relationship. If what she said really bothers her - if she really thinks this way about him - than how can she be friends with him? Best friends even? That she believes he could so easily do it again, and while in a relationship with her, shows she doesn't really think very highly of him. It seems as though she has no confidence in him. She has no confidence in them ever being a couple. |
