This was fantastic. So much wisdom in Roshi's words to Vegeta. It was like being at the table with him, and it fits his character from the series so well. Wonderful writing.

This was excellently done and I really liked the more serious take on Roshi.

I haven't read all tour stories, but I feel that this is my favorite. I believe that this is the kind of love they have.
This is beautiful

The series never really addresses why Vegeta stopped seeking immortality - I imagine dying on Namek changed his perspective (along with Freeza's defeat) but I always thought he would always have a lingering desire for it. It was really clever to work Roshi into this story, ties up so many existential ends! And that last convo with Bulma oh lord the feels.

This is a real eye openner for Vegeta. Poignant and sweet.

I love this! There's not enough Roshi in fan fiction. You've really captured the wisdom of age. Roshi would know just how to speak to Vegeta;not only as a Saiyan, but as an intellectual, with no fluff. Great argument, immortality would take away the pleasure of battle. I've always thought Roshi was under appreciated, I'm glad you are diving into his backstory a bit, innovative and logical story you've given him. I love when the supporting players are shown some love.

Aaaand here we get a bit of seriousness from Roshi! thaaaaank you so much to remind us that he is not completely obcene and senile the entire time! This was really nicely written. I loved it! Love your style, your descriptions and your accuracy.
