Reviews for Darkness in the Destiny
Guest chapter 3 . 2/12/2018
Wtf Masaomi is such a shitty dad. I hope someone calls him out on his bullshit. Would it kill him to say "I love you" or show even a little bit of concern for his son's emotional/psychological well-being? From his behavior, one would think he doesn't care about his son at all. Though, to be fair, that's pretty in character, considering how terrible he is in canon.
Also, wtf does Shiori see in him? Like, I know it's an arranged marriage, but the narration said they were happy together or something? What? If I were a parent and my significant other was like this towards our child, I don't think I'd love my partner anymore, much less still be married to them.
So, my take from this chapter is that Masaomi is an asshole, Shiori should have better standards and Seijuro deserves better than them.
Unless, Shiori is still with Masaomi for some other reason..? *conspiracy theory mode intensifies*
Guest chapter 2 . 2/12/2018
So I'm rereading Darkness in the Destiny for perhaps the tenth time, and this thought just occured to me. Maybe Seijuro /did/ realize how out-of-place his firebending was, on a subconcious level; he just willfully ignored it because he craved some semblance of normalcy. Being recognized as the Avatar, to him, meant even more responsibilities and even less freedom than he already had.
lol Maybe the reason /I/ just realized this is because I've gotten a lot better at identifying indirect characterization. Crazy what a few months can do.
Guest chapter 6 . 3/31/2017
So now Akashi's going to learn earthbending... I wonder what his bending block will be. Probably air? Since he's not used to letting go of responsibility and being "free".
I can see the other two being relatively easy for him. Fire, because he literally breathed it when he was seven (eight?), and from what I remember, that's a pretty high-level technique, even when on a small scale. And earth, because despite fandom interpretation of him as an axe-crazy scissor-weilding psycho, he's actually quite resilient and, in matters not about basketball, even Bokushi!Akashi was really polite and arguably more expressive than Oreshi!Akashi.
But, then again, I can honestly see any of the elements being a weakness and a strengh for him. Water could be a weakness because of his absolute mentality, but it could also be a strength, since Akashi's pretty good at making quick, effective changes in his personality in order to preserve his sanity.
Well, in the end, it's entirely up to you. I'm excited to read how the plot unfolds and Seijuro's development and internal conflict as he struggles between choosing the world and saving his mother. I, for one, hope he can come up with a good compromise... *worriedly looks at the genres* Well, at least it's Angst and not Tragedy, right?
...
Right?
Guest chapter 3 . 3/11/2017
I just remembered...
Akashi doesnt like seaweed! can't believe i forgot lol. but how did he survive in the northern water tribe? pls tell my your secret! i hate seafood with a passion. XD
anyways, on a more serious note, rly love this fic. in fact, all your fics are great. i especially enoyed reading about the miragen's and rakuzan's antics in that one fic where they're all family.
pls do the world a favor and continue writing! your witty prose and ability to capture the emotion of a scene is a gift ;-)
Guest chapter 6 . 3/9/2017
Am i the only one that thinks midorima teaching akashi how to play the piano and pai sho, only to be utterly outshone and beaten every time, would be hilarious? No? Okay i'll just shut up now.
DGM-medieval chapter 6 . 12/4/2016

Bonne continuation!
Just Person chapter 4 . 9/15/2016
Um hello, just wanna you to know that actually; Yin is the black side with the white dot in it, and Yang is the white side with the black dot in it. In Chinese (i'm sorry if it's wrong, my memories got jumbled sometimes) Yin means Shady side and Yang means Sunny side.

Sorry for the weird English and also i can't wait for Akashi to meet the GoM~
Nobody chapter 3 . 5/23/2016
I really like this so far, and I'm looking forward to the next part!
It would be really cool if Reo ends up following Seijuro and the two find the rest of the Rakuzan team along their travels, but that's just me. I hope you update soon!
The Lucky Bell chapter 1 . 4/5/2016
How does this not have reviews ;3; I hope you continue this. You're so lucky to have the honor of having the first KnB and Avatar: the last airbender crossover ;w;
