This chapter chilled me to the bone as I read it. It totally kept me glued for what happens next.

The fact is that, yes, The Joker is a victim many times over and a pitiful creature that deserves a lifetime of safety and care. Unfortunately, he is also a genius and unrelentless in his pursuit of chaos, horror and bloodshed. In the end, someone will need to take the responsibility for ending him. Personally, I think it will probably take something really game-changing... maybe him publicly murdering Harley for giggles?

Falcone is a fool if he thinks he can trust Crane and Strange to serve anyone but themselves. Maybe he figures he can outsmart them but the insane sometimes work to a mental process that most people can't follow so I doubt that he can really hope to follow their thinking patterns and plans.

I wonder if that was one of Dr Crane's early shows? Either way, Gotham is hotting up; whether it was the Bat that started it, we're seeing more and more costumed Rogues out there.

I love the way you choose words. There's a poetic quality to this chapter that I like very much. I like the way you describe the autumn weather and the steam from the pot.

This story kinda gives me a Batman Year One sort of vibe.

I like the interaction between Crane and Leo. The dialogue is natural.

I like the script-like tone of this chapter. It gives plenty of meaning to your take on the Batman legend. The characters are so instantly realized.

Nice chapter depicting Bruce's point of view, especially the flashback bit at the end.
