Well, I have to say, I'm really enjoying this. I do hope you continue working on this story at some point. The Republic Commando books are some of my favorites, and seeing them with a RWBY twist is quite fun and enjoyable. That aside, this is rather well-written. Keep up the good work!

Hmm, it’s been a while, summer died in this story like in canon right? If not it’d be pretty awesome if later down the line she and her fellow mandalorian trainers where to take in the commandos as their children into their clans as they are mandalorian a themeselves. Will we see them act more mandalorian than regular clones?

Will you be updating this story anytime soon? Horns try, I’m kind of expecting a full scale rebellion from the commandos after sometime, they’ve been so influenced by their Mandalorian trainers and parents that they’re totally de-sensitised by the war and the republic, they already realise they’re just apart of a slave army, the republic are just a bunch of hypocrites.

You know this story has really got me thinking about the republic clones, and I got to say, I wouldn't be suprised if any clone went rogue or deserted, they're practically the republic version of the separatist droids, they're a slave army basically and if they step out of line they face a firing squad. It basically makes the republic and even the Jedi a total hypocrisy seeing as slave trade is outlawed in the republic and yet the republic has its own slave army and refuses to fight its own war instead sending said slave to fight in their stead.

Not to mention when they die or they can no longer fight, if the bodies are recovered they're recycled and the biological components are used to make more clones, its horrible. Commandos have it worse, there equipment and training is top of the line, but the that training could be classified as torture, literally , they apwere tortured in training to make them immune to it so they wouldn't reveal republic secrets. They also went through live fire excersices where only the best survived, it was to make the commando corps the best and they also had the best trainers from mandalore, which is technically there homeworld when you think about it. In your story the commando corps aren't really clones, their normal mandalorians apart from two things, their genetic physical enhancements like greater strength, sense, thinking, etc, and the fact they were made and bred in a tank on kamino, since they're just the DNA of two mandalorians put together they're more or less their true born children, which just makes it worse honestly since, the mandalorian trainers are sending their own children out to die.

Though I can just imagine the trainers reaction to Ruby,in imagine Ruby constantly wearing a training helmet to hide her face since she noticed she was like an exact replica of summer and was shy or self concious about it or something cause she knew summer was her mother, I can see her helmet falling off one day in view of her trainers and them being outright shocked about her appearace, maybe then they'll realise their sending their own kids to war and their easentially training them to fight and die.

After the clone wars, I can see the commandos leaving for mandalore and rejoining their DNA doners clans or making their own maybe? Something to think about. What do up you think?

Looks good, very well written from a prose/technical standpoint, and also a crossover between two franchises I love-and in my favorite SW era, too.

One thing I'm not sure about is Ruby's cussing-I get it from the other girls, but it's super jarring hearing little Ruby say that kind of stuff. Then again, this version of Rubes has been through different experiences than the canon version, so I suppose it makes sense.

I love and hate this story, I love it because it's so good but I hate it because it makes me feel so horrible, every time I just see the ranks you give the clones and their originators at the bottom of the chapters just makes me feel horrible, makes the clones seem so inhuman, like hardware and expendable machines, I actually read up a bit on clones and actually learned that they were treated no better than droids, sure their living people but they have no life outside of war, the moment they awaken there taught only how to live, fight and die for the republic, that alone makes me feel bad but apparently they usually don't even get proper funerals, the dead clones are recycled for their biological components to make new clones. I can't help but hate that. Not getting on your case or anything you haven't done anything wrong just pointing out how depressing the story makes me feel sorry. Though it was interesting to find out that clone commandos outright diobeyed and ignored order 66 even helping the Jedi. Expected as the clone commandos where rwiswd for independent thought and are probably the closest to normal beings as clones can be. Suffice to say after this story and some background on clones, I really despise the republic or more the senate.

Awesome story, I hope to see more soon, when's the next chapter going up? I love the flashback to the days on kamino, I actually can't wait to see summers reaction when she finds out about Ruby, there is no way she won't make the connection that Ruby comes from her DNA, after all they are completed identical. Will we be seeing some familiar Star Wars faces, the Jedi council, an akin and obi wan, will the clone wars series battles play a part in the story to?

Ahem. Su cuy'gar! Awesome to see you back again! I was cool either way with the romance thing, but anything slow-burn is better quality imho, so kudos for that. Super-excited to see the troopers back in action again, and I liked Qrow and Yang's talk, he definitely looks to them as his kids. Gods, this is so like reading one of the Karen Traviss novels, I gotta go back and break them out again...

Su cuy'gar! When I started this fic I wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but I'm very glad I did pick it up. The characterization is quite good, especially with the supporting cast (Qrow and Ozpin are excellent choices for a Mando and Jedi). I'm a huge fan of Karen Travis' work, and I think you do them justice. Would love to see some Mando get inserted into the tale, but even so I like they way you're developing the Teams as soldiers and commandos. Nicely done, can't wait for more! Ret'urcye mhi, ner vod!
