This story was great. I enjoyed the moment with Carl and with Rick. Michonne is always there to help him and really cheered him up. I also like Carl's quip about Rick touching her if she asked. I also enjoyed the cozy moment with Rick and Michonne. This was s great oneshot.

Love this. I would have loved to see Carl's adaptation to only having one eye on the show and how Michonne helped him through it.

I love seeing them being domestic. I almost thought Michonne was going to say something to the effect of: you can touch me now. Lol

michonne is such a good mom to carl. carl hinting but not coming right out and saying that his dad wants to touch michonne. i wonder if he'll ever just blurt it out. they really are married, they just don't know it.

Loved it:) Can't wait for Michonne to tell Rick about Andre. I'll be a blubbering mess, but it'll be good for them to get rid of that last brick in the wall between them.

Can I say how much I love Carl? *sighs* I think Michonne will help him deal with his image of himself now. He is a good kid and loves him some Michonne, so he's all right with me:)

Aww if this wasn't precious, then precious doesn't began with P and ends with S, it DOES and it is! This was such a tender and sweetly written story. I just LOVE the whole piece, but my most favorite parts were, the conversation held between Carl and Michonne, his imitation of his dad, and Both Rick and Michonne going to check on a sleeping Judith. This was wonderful , and a joy to read.

I agree with the other reviewer, another chapter would be great. You could even continue on to when they became canon. This started off with Carl and Michonne who are always pure gold. I imagine she would put him at ease about his injury/scar. The whole scene was very maternal and it makes sense that she would be the one to clean his wound. It's something she would want to do because she loves Carl like a son. He and Rick both thanked her for doing it but I think she doesn't think it's a big deal as she thinks of Carl as her son. It is nice they acknowledged what she's done for them. Carl bringing up his father's less than stellar behavior when they first met Michonne was spot on. Rick never did apologize for that on the show but it's good that he does here (before they go further in their relationship). Michonne did correctly point out that she told him never to touch her again and I think that's why he only hesitantly and gently touched her on a few occasions. He took her words to heart and didn't want to offend her and I think he wanted her to trust him. Carl made me laugh when he said Rick would touch her if she told him he could. Yes, I believe the young man is right. Rick would have been trying to stop himself from being all over her if he had been given the green light. We wouldn't have had to wait so long for them to go canon.

The talk with Rick shows how close they are and how far they've come. His apology (which only came because his son spoke about it but better late than never) and this thanks were great. He verbally let Michonne know just how much he appreciates her. I know that they have a deep connection but sometimes things need to be voiced. I'm glad he manned up and told her how much she means to him and his children. I love that Rick corrects Michonne at the end. Everything she said he takes a step further. They are best friends and they share more than a house, they are sharing a life. Now that sounds like more than friends to me, it hints at a deeper. Rick is sending out signals it would seem.

You managed to find a natural setting for this conversation (and the other one for that matter) to take place. Just like the scene on the couch, this one with them watching a movie and unwinding works. They have a moment to spend alone together without the distractions of ASZ, family, friends or enemies. It's nice to see they can still have moments like this they share together and have made a regular was a good read and I was sad that it was over when I got to the last line. Bravo.
