Interesting approach here, with Kurama coming back in time yet only managing it briefly. Add in the bit with Minato, and you have an intriguing story

It's an interesting approach on the "back in time" trope, and I love when Naruto has family-like interactions with Kurama, so this story has double thumbs up from me.

Dude, I read Transfiguration Troubles on Spacebattles and I need more of this fic right here. I know you're almost halfway there on chapter 4 but where's 2 and 3?

Great start, well written and very original.

Naruto should hum bits and pieces ofthe counting song over the years... That would add to Kurama's belief that his future self really did visit or that Naruto is the Child of Prophecy (which he is).

Naruto should freak out ever time he see's the bad Uchiha with the Sharagin (except for Itachi and Shisiu, maybe Mikoto) screaming about how he want let them make him and fuzzy-niisama do bad things any more.

To get Naruto to give him some space he should suggest blind folded mediation. It would help build up his other senses, help him notice that he's a sensor thanks to Kurama and his Uzumaki heritage, plus it will also help with sage mode. (It would be cool to have both toad and foxes, one for water- and water jitsu and one for land - tracking and fire jutsu)

He shouldn't get strong super fast until he learns the Shadow Clone jutsu when he turns twelve. One it would draw unwanted attention and two it kind of ruins it when he gets super strong out of no where. Have him trained in things that take the longest. Patience, sensory, mediation, speed, body strength, traps (through pranks), stealth (through that orange nightmare - burnt orange would suit him way better later on as long as there's less of it), the begins of Fuinjustu (buys a beginners book under henge at like 10), and Kurama giving him very, very detailed history lessons as Naruto is doing his daily work out. after Minato tells how the can talk to each other simply by tearinfg off a very very very small piece of the seal.
