Brazos, without a profile there's no way the author can send you their email for paypal, plus you have no idea if they are the fundraiser, and you can't PM them unless you log in with a FF account.

That's a tricky one, as the fundraising closed on the 1st July, so they would need to extend the time limit, and I'm not sure you can use paypal.

The best thing to do is contact the site, ask them how to ensure your funds get to the fundraiser, as you have no idea who anybody is on here.

Can I still donate? Can I do it through Paypal? I live in Texas so it would be in US dollars & they (or somebody) would have to convert it.

You write some of your best work then just as we're getting excited you slow it down hoping readers might donate to your cause, and when nobody did, you just wrote off the entire thing, punishing everyone that was enjoying it. Clever but cruel.
I know a woman that used to do this to people all the time. She baited a guy using his own daughter to make him do as she wanted, which actually drove him away. The second time she pulled the girl away too soon and he was just left bewildered and still not knowing his daughter who was 12 by this point. Eventually they found a way to get in contact and they realised they'd both been denied the opportunity to get to know each other, the girl had even been told that he walked away from her and didnt like her, so at age 12, she was made to feel the rejection of a father who was then told a similar story and kept away from her again. Five years later they realised the deception, and the man tried to do everythign he could to make up lost time. It was difficult to accept help or generosity because she was used to it being used as a way to manipulate her, so even his earnest efforts as a father were tainted with the actions of the woman. This is where it gets chilling, she turned the same tactic on the girl, using amongst other things, a Chinese crested puppy (which she eventually named Jazz) as bait to draw her away from her dad. The irony is that he's the one sitting on the train platform still wondering why his daughter won't talk to him over a year later. He's looked for every explanation, including some very crazy sounding ones, but the very idea that a child could be lured away by a puppy is such a cliche nobody believes it could happen, not to mention the child is 19, the same age as he was when the first attempts to force his hand failed..but any attempt he makes to contact her or be kind to her is met with contempt and accusations of attempting to control her.
I love the synchronicity between this story and real life. The guy is also a bit up the spectrum and only wears blue, and I'm sure he mentioned something about his daughter doing a skydive, even asking people to donate, taking her above her target even though he hasnt seen her for over a year.
I know it's a long shot, and probably just co-incidence, but if you are that person, or know them, please, pretty please, finish your story. You told your Father you didn't want to write for money, charity or otherwise. You were creating something beautiful for it's own sake. I'd love to believe this is all true and that you're the girl in the story, though how that relates to the one you're writing is a mystery.

I'd like a Big Mac, fries and an update please.
