I've never thought much about Sherlock's and Mycroft's relationship. It's kind of sad, actually... But this was very sweet, and I hope Mycroft actually feels for his brother in the way you've described.

Gahhh, you write the BEST Sherlock hurt/comfort fics, I swear. I adore the relationship between the two brothers and this was so sweet and emotional to read- and very in character. I loved this!

Lovely little story... the most heartbreaking moment, I thought, is when Sherlock is struggling to make it clear that his current situation isn't his own fault. That harks back to so many earlier bedside vigils that must have been downright ugly, compared to this one which is just bursting at the seams with brotherly love. Well done!

So bittersweet! I love the involuntary flashbacks to Sherlock as a child, it is very reminiscent of HLV, after Mycroft witnesses Sherlock shooting Magnusson. My heart twisted up a bit when Sherlock tries to tell Mycroft that he hasn't used drugs. Is it bad that the whump is so satisfying? If it is, I'm unrepentant! :)

Perfect perspective on Mycroft's 'sentiment' for Sherlock, especially relating the fits of fever and near-delirium to childhood illness. I am curious about the background of the poisoning in this situation. But, I adore the single-chapter framework of this scene. Thank you for sharing this side of Mycroft Holmes.

My reaction after watching the last minutes of "The Abominable Bride" was: oh Mycroft...
And after reading your newest story, all I could think once more was: oh Mycroft...

I can always count on you if I'm in need of a sickfic - and obviously the same also applies to stories dealing with the bond between Mycroft and Sherlock.

And of course there is a strong bond between those two, even if they wouldn't admit it.
You capture this perfectly. This, as well as Mycroft's character and his emotions. How his fears show, even if he tries to appear calm and indifferent.
The scenes where he remembers a very young and sick Sherlock and the one where he smoothes away his brother's curls are absolutely heart-wrenching and two of my favourites.
It's also heartbreaking to see a delirious Sherlock trying to tell Mycroft that he didn't take drugs and thus didn't betray his confidence. It also speaks volumes that Sherlock clings to his brother's hand unconscously.

Oh my... Definetly worth the wait - I loved it! A perfect fic for the H/C-loving reader that I am. You can really feel Mycrofts concern and brotherly love for Sherlock. I had no problems (it'a never an issue with you stories though) visualizing this scene :D
