Interesting concept of how the humans reacted after the war there, I'm guessing the same thing had happened to Chara as well?

So the timeframe is 200 years before the game and 200 years after the actual war. If that's the case, then it's likely that the 'strangeness' of Sans and Chara is because they were descended from the wizards from the war. That would then mean Chara and Sans, and maybe Papyrus, would be able to use magic. Like how Sans teleported a few chapters ago.

Kinda curious about how Sans is losing his max HP. He wasn't born with any life crippling disabilities on the surface and appears to have been fine for the first 12 years of his life. So does it have something to do with the Underground and its abundance of magic? I'm guessing he took some fall damage, as the golden flowers have yet to be introduced to the underground.

Also, the base stats of an average human child who has no EXP, based on Frisk, should be LV 1, HP 20, AT 0, DF 0, and EXP 0. Of course, there could be differences/variations with different people as STATS are generally described as the willingness to hurt someone. The less you want to fight, the lower your AT and DF get. The more you want to fight/hurt someone, the higher your AT and DF get. Sans isn't really the type of person to want to actively hurt someone, and Papyrus couldn't hurt a fly.

Just a few questions, thoughts, and theories on the whole world building thing, to get the thought train going. None of what I've written is strictly true and it's only me taking a guess at where you're going with this, basically me headcannoning the held out of this story. These were just a few questions that came to mind when I was reading this.

Hope you continue, it's a really cool idea. I've yet to find a story where Chara knew Sans and Papyrus from before they were dead. There are plenty of human!sans and human!papyrus fics out there, but you've really put an interesting spin on yours. See you next chapter!

P.S. Also, yes the prologue was really nicely done.

Sans should be able to change his attack,defense and hp it would be a very neat change. I spooky;)
