This was heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. Their openness, their realizations, how they see through each other, their banter about the grill, the note from Schmiel, their future.

OMG! This is so beautiful, and painful, but beautiful. I love how open and honest they are, the work Ziva is doing, which is so important to her. And I've always imagined there would've been serious long term trauma after months of captivity. And then Tony's realization that this would be his life and that he was done with his old career and being at peace with it, without second-guessing anything.

Not going to lie, I'm reluctant to read the next chapter because of what will most likely happen to Schmiel, but ugh, I need more of them. Let me get some tissues first...

Okay, not only is this incredibly well-written, grammatically and creatively and structurally and such, it is beautiful. Felt this one deep down in my soul. Not to mention, so completely plausible and accurate. It is them. It is who they are and could be. And you manged to write a piece that included her reaching out to him, the rekindling of a relationship, and a perfectly plausible way for him to leave, without it overtaking the piece. Incredible. I adored it. Keep up the fantastic work, I can't wait to read more from you.
